We are seeking a Civil Engineer EIT to join our growing team in Washington, with a focus on public and municipal projects across the state!
As a key team member, you will support project teams by leading design elements and addressing engineering challenges for a variety of public infrastructure and municipal development projects. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your civil engineering skills while collaborating closely with project managers, team members, clients, and local agencies.
Responsibilities:
• Work with project teams in the design and implementation of public and municipal engineering projects.
• Collaborate with project teams and clients to prepare project documentation, proposals, and deliverables tailored to the needs of public-sector projects.
• Draft, review, and finalize essential project deliverables including:
◦ Site plans for public works and infrastructure
◦ Engineering reports and feasibility studies
◦ Cost estimates and budget projections
◦ Project schedules and timelines
◦ Permit applications and regulatory compliance documents
◦ Due diligence reports for municipal developments
• Modify and refine plans based on client, agency, and public feedback, ensuring adherence to local standards and requirements.
• Research Washington state-specific zoning laws, environmental regulations, and other municipal codes for projects.
• Conduct site visits, field assessments, and collaborate with municipalities to ensure successful project execution.
• Analyze site survey data and consider local development factors to optimize design solutions.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other related software to efficiently complete designs and maintain quality standards for public projects.
• Communicate effectively with clients, municipal agencies, and project stakeholders under the guidance of the Project Manager.
• Provide regular updates to the Project Manager and Team Leader regarding project status and workload management.
• Apply engineering principles to address challenges in public and municipal infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• Two to four (2-4) years of civil engineering experience, with a preference for experience in public infrastructure or municipal project design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, grading design, technical writing, MS Office, and interpreting plans and specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and workload management skills.

Pay Range
$70,000 - $95,000 USD
