Atwell is growing our Power & Energy team and we’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support our Interconnection group. This is a great opportunity to work on utility-scale solar, wind, BESS, substations, transmission, and other high-voltage power projects across the country.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and support interconnection and power system studies for utility-scale renewable and high-voltage projects
- Perform PSSE and PSCAD studies, including load flow, dynamic analysis, and renewable model tuning
- Support projects across solar, wind, BESS, substations, transmission, and distribution
- Partner closely with internal teams across substation physical, P&C, SCADA, civil, structural, transmission, distribution, project management, and construction
- Prepare and review technical deliverables including reports, design criteria, specifications, study documentation, scopes of work, and engineering packages
- Participate in client meetings, occasional site visits, and field walkdowns
- Ensure designs and studies align with applicable codes, standards, and quality expectations
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Strong experience supporting interconnection studies and power systems analysis
- Experience with tools such as PSSE, PSCAD, PSLF, ASPEN, PowerWorld, ETAP, SKM, CYME, EMTP, or similar
- Familiarity with ISO/RTO processes such as ERCOT, MISO, or SPP is a plus
- Understanding of applicable standards such as NERC PRC/MOD, IEEE 2800, and IEEE 1547
- PE license is a plus, but not required for the right candidate
Pay Range - $100,000 - $180,000 base + bonus + benefits.

Pay Range
$100,000 - $180,000 USD
