Job Description
The Enterprise Data Engineer supports the organization’s core enterprise systems and data platforms, with responsibilities spanning ERP technical support, data pipeline development, and system integrations. This role helps ensure reliable system operations while enabling scalable analytics and reporting solutions across the organization. This role also serves as a key technical partner to the software development team, assisting with the management of on-premises infrastructure and the modernization of deployment workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for the organization’s ERP platform and related integrations.
- Assist with ERP system maintenance, upgrades, testing, and performance monitoring.
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes supporting the Microsoft Fabric data platform.
- Integrate data from ERP and other business systems to support analytics and reporting initiatives.
- Collaborate with BI developers and analysts to support Power BI datasets and reporting solutions.
- Develop and maintain integrations between enterprise systems, including ERP, Quickbase, and other applications.
- Document system configurations, data pipelines, and integration processes while supporting ongoing platform improvements.
- Infrastructure Bridge: Provide secondary support for the development team’s on-premises Windows/IIS environment, ensuring server stability for hosted applications and databases.
- Deployment Support: Partner with software developers to transition manual "local" deployments into automated CI/CD pipelines within Azure DevOps.
- Environment Stewardship: Monitor on-premises SQL Server health (backups, performance, and storage) to support both the ERP and the broader data platform.
Qualifications
- ERP: Experience supporting ERP or enterprise business systems.
- SQL: Strong SQL and data troubleshooting skills.
- ETL: Experience with ETL processes and modern data platforms (Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or similar).
- BI: Familiarity with Power BI data models and analytics environments.
- DevOps Mindset: Basic experience with (or a strong desire to learn) Azure DevOps pipeline configuration and automation.
- Windows Server Familiarity: Practical knowledge of IIS (site configuration/SSL)
- Automation Scripting: Ability to use PowerShell or similar tools to automate routine server maintenance or data movement tasks.

Pay Range
$92,000 - $120,000 USD
