Position Summary

The Civil Permitter – National Program Accounts coordinates civil permitting activities for multi-state client programs. This position works closely with clients, engineers, consultants, and regulatory agencies to keep projects moving from initial submittal through permit issuance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage civil permitting activities for multiple projects across states and jurisdictions.
  • Research jurisdiction-specific permitting requirements and identify required applications, plans, fees, and supporting documents to create Site Investigation Reports (SIR).
  • Coordinate permit submittals, agency reviews, comments, resubmittals, approvals, and permit issuance.
  • Maintain accurate permit trackers and monitor critical milestones, deadlines, and outstanding items.
  • Coordinate with civil engineers, surveyors, architects, contractors, consultants, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Communicate permit status, issues, and potential schedule impacts to clients and project teams.
  • Follow up with agencies and project team members to keep permits moving toward approval.
  • Prepare status reports, dashboards, and other program-level permitting updates.
  • Develop and maintain standardized permitting procedures and jurisdictional resources for national programs.
  • Identify permitting risks and proactively escalate issues that may affect project schedules.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in civil permitting, land development, engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with large project teams.
  • Experience with multi-state or national programs is preferred.
  • Familiarity with commercial site development and civil engineering plans is preferred.
  • Experience with electronic permitting portals and agency submittal systems is preferred.
