Atwell is looking for a Project Manager to lead municipal public works projects in the Seattle area. You’ll build strong client relationships, guide multidisciplinary teams, and deliver quality work while managing project budgets, schedules, and business goals.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead projects from proposal and contract through delivery, keeping clients informed and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Build and maintain relationships with municipal clients and prospective clients.
  • Coordinate project teams, assign responsibilities, and mentor team members.
  • Monitor project scope, schedule, budget, workload, and financial performance; address changes and risks as they arise.
  • Prepare proposals, project updates, and presentations, and follow up on business opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate project records, reporting, and document management.
  • Coordinate with Atwell leadership and colleagues across disciplines to deliver quality work.

What You Bring

  • At least 8 years of experience in civil engineering, public works, environmental services, land planning, surveying, or a related field.
  • A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental studies, land planning, surveying, or a related field.
  • Experience managing projects, client relationships, contracts, budgets, and schedules.
  • Strong communication, organization, and team leadership skills.
  • A collaborative, dependable, client-focused approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Professional registration or certification, such as PE, RLA, AICP, CPG, or PS, is highly desirable.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Experience with municipal clients and public works projects in the Seattle area is especially relevant. Atwell supports professional growth and gives project managers the opportunity to build lasting client relationships while guiding teams and delivering meaningful work.

Pay Range

$120,000 - $155,000 USD
