About the role

The Regional Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that create demand, grow customer acquisition, and build customer advocacy for ShipStation in Australia and New Zealand.  The role works closely with the sales team, the marketing team, and other departments to execute local marketing initiatives. This role requires someone who is ambitious, a self-starter and can work across teams to deliver results with limited resources. 

This position is hybrid (3 days per week in office) and is located in Sydney, Australia.

Travel Requirements:

  • US once a year for training
  • Regular (Monthly) on-site visits to prospective clients
  • Interestate travel once a quarter to attend industry trade show events

ShipStation is a part of the Auctane family of brands headquartered in Austin, Texas and now expanding into APAC and we are looking for great people to join the rapidly expanding team in Australia. Our APAC team is based in our office space in Surry Hills,

What will you be doing?

  • Regional Marketing Execution: Develop and implement regional marketing programs to improve customer acquisition. Understand the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and inform marketing plans. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and optimize performance.
  • Events and Partnerships: Find and create partnerships and participate in events with local organizations and influencers that drive awareness and customer acquisition in the local markets.
  • Sales Enablement and Lead Nurture: Work closely with the sales team on lead followup and conversion. Provide them with the tools, resources, and knowledge they need to effectively sell the product. Utilize marketing automation tools to nurture leads and track campaign performance
  • Content: Drive the creation of content including webinars and locally optimized content. Create local customer stories and proof points to engage prospects and customers and adapt content produced for other markets for local audiences.
  • Acquisition Work closely with the performance team to optimize and improve media spend. Test new tactics and experiment with new ideas. Drive local website and landing pages to improve performance.
  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics related to marketing initiatives, using data to guide decision-making and strategy adjustments.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 6+ years in a  similar operational marketing role.
  • Proven track record of delivering growth in market.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from data.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
