About the role

The Associate Market Researcher conducts primary and secondary research projects to assist strategic decisions across the company. This role will help build a robust research program that will uncover what our customers need and why they buy. You will help establish a robust insights engine, assisting and even leading research studies on competition, pricing, and brand health. Your work turns raw data into insights that shape product roadmaps and go-to-market plans. You will partner with marketing, support, sales, and product teams to surface clear actions they can take to win and keep customers. You will drive a shared insights repository so every decision starts with facts, not guesswork.

What will you be doing?

  • Become the Expert: Actively grow your skills in research methodology, data analysis, and strategic thinking to become a trusted, go-to insights expert for the marketing team.
  • Monitor Brand & Customer Health: Support the management of our longitudinal studies (e.g., Brand Tracking, NPS) to provide a continuous, reliable pulse on customer sentiment and brand perception.
  • Deliver Actionable Ad-Hoc Insights: Provide end-to-end support on critical ad-hoc research projects—from survey design to analysis—to deliver clear answers to urgent business questions.
  • Equip the Team with Market Intel: Support product marketing, product, and sales by managing and delivering regular reports and battlecards that track market trends and competitor activity.
  • Translate Data into Decisions: Transform raw quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources into compelling, story-driven reports that empower leadership to make confident, data-backed decisions.
  • Support and Manage Longitudinal Studies: Assist with standing up and implementing longitudinal studies like Net Promoter Score and Brand Tracking, analyzing data to monitor key changes in metrics and sentiment over time.
  • Support and Conduct Ad-hoc Research: Contribute to the full lifecycle of ad-hoc research projects, including survey design, qualitative interviews, survey programming, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Support Competitive Intelligence: Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends and gather competitive intelligence to build regular reports on competitor activities and strategies.
  • Data Analysis: Dive into both quantitative and qualitative datasets, cleaning data and running analyses to uncover the "story" hidden within the numbers.
  • Report Building: Transform complex data from multiple sources into clear, concise, and visually compelling reports and presentations for marketing and leadership teams.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree, ideally within the marketing, business, economic, or social science fields. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 1-3 years experience in customer insights, market research, consulting, or competitive intelligence.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to connect data points to tell a coherent story.
  • A solid foundational understanding of primary market research methodologies and the basics of effective survey design.
  • Familiarity with survey software (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer) or a demonstrated ability to learn new software platforms quickly.
  • A proactive, self-starter mentality; you are a natural "self-learner" who is resourceful and passionate about figuring things out.
  • A results-oriented mindset, driven by the desire to see your insights translate into tangible, outsized business impact.
  • An eagerness to learn, take on new challenges, and grow your skills as a research professional.
  • Familiarity with significance testing, database querying, and statistical software (i.e. DisplayR,SQL, Python)

What will make you stand out?

  • You have a true "figure it out" mentality. You're a proactive self-learner who gets excited by a challenge and is resourceful in finding a solution.
  • You "speak marketing." You have a strong grasp of core business and marketing concepts, which helps you understand why you're being asked a research question and how the answers will help the team.
  • You're a natural-born storyteller. You can look at a spreadsheet of data and see the underlying story, connecting the dots in a way that is clear, compelling, and actionable.
  • You have prior experience (even if from an academic project or internship) where you've taken a research project from the initial question to the final presentation.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
