About the role
You will engage with new users of ShipStation, understanding their business and their objectives and managing the on-boarding, success and satisfaction of our clients that rely on ShipStation to power their core business processes. Our New Business Account Managers are the client's first point of contact during their trial period and are responsible for the successful training, on-boarding and adoption of our new users in the ShipStation community, driving best practices, product adoption and revenue for ShipStation. You will also be responsible for managing the sales process from proposal all the way through to onboarding.
You will be hungry to develop your sales skills and technical understanding of how delivery processes work. We want you to communicate regularly and proactively with internal stakeholders and provide constructive and actionable feedback for the benefit of our users. What will you be doing?
As a New Business Account Manager, you are the architect of a customer’s first days with ShipStation. This is a high-impact, high-velocity sales role where you own the transition from a curious trial user to a power-user who relies on our tech to run their business.
You aren’t just answering questions; you are a consultant and a closer. You will manage a high volume of inbound leads, identifying business pain points and delivering technical demonstrations that prove ROI.
You own the entire cycle: from the initial proposal and discovery call to the final technical onboarding. You will operate within a world-class corporate framework that provides the tools and data you need to succeed, but your daily execution must be fast, agile, and results-oriented.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Process-Driven High-Performer who thrives in a "Structured-Speed" environment. You should be someone who loves a busy CRM and finds energy in managing multiple moving parts without dropping the ball.
- High-Volume Inbound Expertise: You have a proven track record (2+ years) in a client-facing sales environment where you managed a dense pipeline. You know how to qualify quickly and move deals forward with urgency.
- Operational Rigor: You are process-oriented. You understand that in a corporate environment, data integrity and CRM management are the foundations of high performance, not a "chore."
- The "Closer-Teacher" Hybrid: You possess the "hunter" instinct to hit monthly targets and the "teacher" patience to guide a client through a technical setup.
- Native/Bilingual English Fluency: You can speak the language of UK SME owners—understanding their business culture, nuances, and expectations.
- Dynamic "Can-Do" Attitude: You don't wait for instructions in the face of a challenge. You are a problem-solver who stays composed when the pace accelerates and the "uncomfortable" moments arise.
- Technical Curiosity: You don't need to be a developer, but you must be excited to learn about what happens in the backend of ecommerce (APIs, carrier integrations, and logistics workflows).
- Corporate Adaptability: You appreciate the stability and resources of a large organization combined with the fast-paced environment, and are willing to quickly adapt.
