POSITION SUMMARY:
Audax is looking for a Technical Writer Co-op to assist with the production, coordination, and execution of Technical internal publications of departments polices & procedures for Audax Support Department(s).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates, writes, and revises instructions, department policies and procedures booklets, and training materials.
- Collaborate with internal team members and end users to identify, define, and learn about internal business processes/workflows.
- Departments include, but are not limited to:
- Finance / Tax / Treasury / Co-Invest
- Business Development
- Investor Relations
- IT
- Human Resources
- Legal & Compliance
- Administration
- Participates in weekly and ad-hoc meetings with Business Solutions and other Support Department teams.
- Research different solutions for capturing processes from department individuals.
- Presents new innovative approaches to improve tech writing process to best perform task(s) of the department.
- Departments include, but are not limited to:
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in a BS/BA and/or MS program, majoring in Computer Science / Finance / Accounting / English or related field.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent writing and grammatical skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to present complex data/workflows in clear, concise text.
- Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently.
- Ability to edit and proofread work of colleagues.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software, Visio a plus
- Ability to quickly learn new technical concepts / tools as needed and share knowledge with power users to enable independent operation and productivity.
Location: Boston, MA. This position is in the office 3 days/week. These in-office requirements may be adjusted based on the needs of the business.
Hours: 40 hours/week
Date: January 2025 - June 2025
