POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Portfolio Support team works alongside the deal teams, portfolio company management teams, and third-party  consultants to facilitate diligence and value creation, operational improvements, board and management effectiveness,  and resource management. The Co-op will work closely with the VP, Market Diligence and Market Intelligence and  Director, Portfolio Support Operations to help to build out a process system in which the team can continue to scale and to further develop the market diligence function at Audax. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with  strong technical skills able to transform concepts into effective, concise, and timely analyses. 

The Co-op will collaborate across teams, identify and execute on opportunities for improvement and/or automation,  oversee data integrity, aggregate consulting firm performance, develop reports and integrated analyses, update Portfolio Support materials and presentations, and assist the Portfolio Support team with a variety of ad hoc requests.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Support the market diligence function with data collection, analysis, and various reporting assignments
  • Review and summarize market diligence reports from third-party consultants
  • Conduct market research using various sources and tools (e.g., SimilarWeb, Placer, and more) to support live deals and identify potential opportunities for value creation 
  • Prepare summary reports and presentations using Excel and Power BI to communicate market diligence findings
  • Assess process workflows to optimize efficiency and accuracy, implementing automation where possible and creating structure around weekly, monthly, and quarterly updates 
  • Maintain and improve quality and control of data from the portfolio, external sources, and internal systems for analytics in excel and Power BI 
  • Manage the execution of best practices, including identifying knowledge gaps across the system, curation of best- in-class documents, and updating previous-generation documents 
  • Create prompts and customGPTs to optimize workstreams using GenAI

 

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Pursuing BS or BA with an Analytics background
  • Minimum GPA of 3.4
  • Previous Co-Op experience (preferably in consulting)
  • Experience with Power BI and DAX formulas preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, very detail-oriented
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in an environment of tight deadlines and high-quality standards
    • Self-starter with the willingness to learn and proactive attitude 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to thrive in a team environment

 

Location: Boston, MA. This position is in the office 4 days/week. 

Hours: 35 hours/week
