POSITION SUMMARY:

The Information Architect, SharePoint is an individual contributor responsible for the architecture, taxonomy, and information structure of Audax Private Equity's SharePoint environment. This role is Audax Private Equity’s subject matter expert for SharePoint information architecture, managed metadata, content classification, and document lifecycle management — ensuring deal, fund, and portfolio company content is well-structured, consistently tagged, and discoverable across the firm.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

SharePoint Information Architecture

  • Own the SharePoint information architecture, including site structure, content types, column schemas, and library design.
  • Serve as the technical authority on SharePoint architecture patterns, working with SPFx, CSOM, PowerShell, and the Microsoft Graph API.
  • Define and enforce standards for site provisioning and structure so content is consistent and discoverable firmwide.
  • Design and operate templated deal-site provisioning triggered from upstream systems, applying the correct structure and taxonomy at site creation.

Taxonomy, Metadata, and Content Classification

  • Own the SharePoint managed metadata term store and the firm's deal taxonomy, and maintain the RefinableString managed property mappings that make it searchable.
  • Design, build, and tune the document classification pipeline across path-based tagging, filename rules, SharePoint Premium classifiers, and a residual model stage.
  • Apply intelligent document processing at ingestion (OCR, extraction, form recognition) so metadata and content signals are set at creation.
  • Define and maintain metadata standards and content type architecture, and drive tagging consistency across sites.
  • Remediate legacy libraries at scale using PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and migration tooling to bulk-tag, reclassify, and clean existing content.

Document Lifecycle and Automation

  • Automate document movement through SharePoint in line with the deal lifecycle — from Salesforce deal creation through to realized-deal archiving — applying correct metadata and site placement at each stage.
  • Build automated workflows and API-based integrations using Power Automate and the Microsoft Graph API to route, tag, and organize content across the deal lifecycle.
  • Manage content lifecycle within SharePoint, including archival and disposition, in line with retention outcomes defined by Information Security and Microsoft Purview.
  • Partner with Information Security to ensure lifecycle automation applies the sensitivity labels and retention policies those teams define.

Data Quality and Reporting

  • Develop reporting on metadata completeness, classification coverage, and content health across the SharePoint environment.
  • Establish operational metrics that communicate content health and classification accuracy to management.
  • Maintain documentation, standards, and procedures for architecture, taxonomy, classification, and lifecycle services.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Management, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in SharePoint architecture, information architecture, or content management.
  • Expert-level experience with SharePoint Online information architecture (site structure, content types, column schemas, library design).
  • Expert-level experience with SharePoint managed metadata, term store administration, and RefinableString managed property mappings.
  • Strong experience configuring and tuning SharePoint search (verticals, refiners, query rules, PnP search).
  • Strong experience designing and operating document content classification, including path-, filename-, and classifier-based approaches with SharePoint Premium.
  • Hands-on experience building automated workflows and API-based integrations with Power Automate and the Microsoft Graph API.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting for bulk metadata, provisioning, and content remediation at scale.
  • Working knowledge of SPFx, CSOM, and REST/OData for SharePoint development and data access.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives with data, IT, and security teams while remaining hands-on technically, and to operate with a high degree of autonomy as the firm's sole SME in this domain.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES:

  • Experience leading a large-scale SharePoint migration or re-architecture using ShareGate, Metalogix, or comparable tooling.
  • Experience preparing SharePoint content for enterprise search or GenAI retrieval (semantic index / RAG readiness, Copilot enablement).
  • Experience in financial services, private equity, or another regulated, information-sensitive environment.
  • Relevant Microsoft certification (e.g., MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert, or SC-100: Cybersecurity Architect Expert).

Form CC-305

Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
