About Augment Code

The best software comes from Augmenting developers, not replacing them. We’re bringing joy back to software engineering and keeping developers in flow by building the best Developer AI, with deep contextual awareness of a company’s codebase.

About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Content Marketing Lead to drive our content strategy and drive awareness and conversion for Augment Code as the tool of choice for AI-enhanced coding and a world-class engineering and AI research org. With a developer-first mindset, you'll create compelling technical content that showcases our product's capabilities and our AI research while providing genuine value to the developer community.

This high-impact role sits at the intersection of technical expertise and storytelling. You'll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with our AI researchers, software engineers, and leadership to transform their expertise into compelling content.

This is a foundational role perfect for someone who has built technical content programs for software engineers in the past and is excited to do it again in the incredibly fun world of developer AI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Content Creation: Produce high-quality, technically accurate long-form blog posts, tutorials, company announcements, and product launch content that resonates with developers
  • Editorial Strategy: Develop and manage our content roadmap and editorial calendar aligned with research breakthroughs, product launches, and marketing initiatives
  • SEO Optimization: Apply SEO best practices to increase organic discoverability of our content
  • Distribution Strategy: Identify and leverage channels to amplify content reach within developer communities
  • Video Content: Either produce or manage contractors for technical video content from concept to publication
  • Performance Measurement: Track and analyze content performance, using data to refine our approach
  • Thought Leadership: Position Augment Code as an authority in developer productivity and AI tooling through strategic content initiatives
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, and community teams to identify content opportunities and technical insights

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in technical content creation, with a focus on developer audiences
  • Strong technical background, ideally with hands-on software development experience
  • Demonstrated success managing editorial calendars and content pipelines
  • Proven track record of creating content that drives engagement and conversion
  • Experience with SEO best practices and content distribution strategies
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to technical accuracy
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content
  • Experience with or aptitude for video content production a plus
  • Understanding of developer workflows, tools, and pain points

The Intangibles We Value

  • Genuine curiosity about emerging technologies and developer trends
  • Strategic thinking combined with execution excellence
  • Creative problem-solving approach to content creation and distribution
  • Data-driven mindset for measuring and improving content performance

Employee Benefits:

  • Flexible work hours
  • Competitive salary & Equity. We recently announced our $227M funding raise
  • Tools Stipend
  • Health, Dental, Vision and Life Insurance
  • Short Term and Long Term Disability
  • Unlimited Paid Time Off + Holidays. We focus on trust and ownership, not time in the chair
  • Numerous company social events

We will do everything we can within reason to make sure that your interview takes place in an environment that fairly and accurately assesses your skills. If you need assistance or accommodation, please contact your recruiter.

OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
