  • Start date 2nd February 2026

Are you ready to power the future?

Australia’s clean energy transformation is accelerating and grid connection engineers are leading the charge. As demand for renewable energy surges, so does the need for talented engineers who can connect new technologies to the grid safely, reliably, and efficiently.

That’s where you come in.

We’ve created a first-of-its-kind, industry-wide graduate program designed to fast-track your career and immerse you in the most exciting challenges in energy. Over two years, you’ll rotate through four organisations - an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), a National Service Provider (NSP), a Developer, and AEMO - gaining experience across the full spectrum of grid connection engineering.

What You’ll Do

Each rotation offers different on-the-job learning experiences and you will also benefit from a central training program. Over the two-year program we expect that you will:

  • Collaborate with senior engineers on power system modelling and simulation
  • Analyse system performance and conduct incident reviews to identify risks and trends
  • Develop and maintain software tools to automate technical studies
  • Create technical reports and documentation that inform real-world decisions
  • Contribute to cutting-edge projects shaping Australia’s energy future
  • Build relationships with industry experts and stakeholders across the sector

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking curious, driven graduates with:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering (graduating before February 2026)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • A passion for learning and applying grid connection technologies
  • Solid understanding of electrical engineering principles
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Full working rights in Australia for the duration of the program

We believe diversity drives innovation and encourage individuals of all races, genders, ages, religions, identities, and experiences to apply.
