The Opportunity:

  • Part time = 1-3 days per week – ongoing paid internships
  • Full time = Summer/Winter internship engagements 
  • Hands on experience in the Energy sector
  • Potential pathway to the AEMO Graduate Program

What You’ll Experience:

  • Try before you buy – get the opportunity to work in the energy sector before graduation
  • Learn the building blocks of working life, in a safe and inclusive space
  • Understand the fundamentals of energy in Australia – including the energy market and day to day operations of the network from our experts
  • Invaluable networking opportunities – with peers (AEMOs early careers network) and industry leaders

Eligibility:

  • Must be currently studying a relevant degree at an Australian University
  • Internships open to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students
    • Undergraduate student requirements: completed all first-year subjects (8 subjects)
    • Postgraduate student requirements: completed 1 Semester of degree (4 subjects) 
  • Studying relevant degree:
    • Engineering: Electrical, Power Systems, Mechatronic, Mechanical OR Chemical
    • Science: Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics OR Statistics
    • Business & Commerce: Actuarial Studies, Commerce, Economics, Finance OR Accounting
    • Data & Technology: Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Analytics. Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology OR Software Engineering
  • Must have right to work in Australia

Available Locations: Brisbane, Sydney CBD, Norwest (NSW), Melbourne, Adelaide, Hobart, Perth

3 Stage Recruitment Process:

  • Interview (Virtual or in person)
