What You’ll Do
Authentic Brands Group is seeking a creative and experienced Visual Merchandise Manager to join our Shanghai office. The Visual Merchandise Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall brand experience and visual appeal of our products across diverse retail channels. This individual will lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including brand management, retail operations, and marketing, to create captivating displays that resonate with consumers and drive sales.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Visual Merchandising Strategy: Lead the development and execution of visual merchandise strategies that align with brand guidelines and business objectives, in collaboration with the brand management team
- Showroom Setups: Oversee the design and execution of showroom setups to ensure they are visually striking and creatively showcase our products
- Creative Displays: Conceptualize and execute innovative in-store displays, window setups, and pop-up installations that maximize brand visibility and customer engagement
- Sample Management: Manage the selection, organization, and presentation of samples to ensure they are effectively utilized in visual merchandising efforts
- Product Presentation: Ensure products are curated and presented in a visually appealing and organized manner to optimize the consumer shopping experience
- Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor strategies, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities for innovative visual merchandising concepts
- Project Management: Effectively manage multiple visual merchandising projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
- Team Leadership: provide guidance and support to ensure successful project execution
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to align visual merchandising initiatives with promotional campaigns and product launches
- Store Visits and Training: Conduct store visits to evaluate the implementation of visual merchandising guidelines and provide training to retail staff as needed
- Visual Merchandising Guidelines: Develop and maintain comprehensive visual merchandising guidelines that cater to different store formats and retail partners
- Budget Management: Manage the visual merchandising budget, tracking expenses, and optimizing resource allocation
- Adobe Suite Knowledge: While not a primary focus, a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is beneficial for creating signage, banners, and promotional collateral
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Visual Merchandising, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Proven experience (5-7 years) in visual merchandising or retail coordination, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial role
- Demonstrated ability to translate brand identity and storytelling into compelling and creative visual displays
- Strong experience in showroom setups, sample management, and creative execution
- Excellent understanding of current design and visual merchandising trends
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate ideas clearly to various stakeholders
- A keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and spatial awareness
- Flexibility to travel for store visits and installations as required
- Passion for fashion, lifestyle, and consumer brands
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus but not mandatory
