What You’ll Do

The SVP of Ecommerce will provide strategic leadership for the growth and development of digital businesses across a diverse portfolio of brands within the Authentic portfolio. This role will oversee multiple e-commerce P&Ls, with a focus on driving profitability, scalability, and innovation. As a key member of the executive team, the SVP will define and drive the digital strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, merchandising, collaborations, design, operations, and product. This role will have full ownership of the digital performance for a growing portfolio of internally built and operated sites. Top candidates will have experience running multiple ecommerce sites and prioritizing partner expectations against company objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Strategic Vision: Develop and execute the long-term vision for the brands under management, aligning digital business strategies with the overall company and licensee goals and driving profitable growth across the brands. Own full P&L accountability for e-commerce business units, optimizing for growth, margin, and operational efficiency.
  • Licensee Management: Work closely with licensees to educate, build consensus, drive business outcomes, and conduct opportunity analyses across all touchpoints. Align all parties from design & product adoption through to go-to-market and post-season review, producing and delivering weekly & seasonal business reviews to key stakeholders.  
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key stakeholder in cross-functional leadership teams to ensure cohesive digital strategy execution, collaborating with marketing, merchandising, product, design, technology, and operations teams to integrate omnichannel experiences.
  • Customer Experience Leadership: Guide the vision for digital customer experiences, driving enhancements in site merchandising, UX/UI, and personalization strategies. Use data-driven insights to influence customer engagement and optimize the path to purchase across the digital ecosystem.
  • Innovation and Technology: Foster a culture of digital innovation, identifying and implementing cutting-edge technologies, automation, and tools to enhance scalability and operational efficiency. Lead the continuous optimization of the e-commerce platform through collaboration with product and technology teams.
  • Merchandising and Inventory Strategy: Oversee high-level merchandising and inventory strategies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Implement processes and date-driven strategies to streamline and inform site-merchandising, content management and collaboration with supplying partners.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize advanced analytics and reporting to inform business strategies and decision-making. Lead the development and implementation of a data-driven culture within the digital team to drive insights and optimize performance across channels.
  • Change Management and Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and help develop a high-performing digital team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and innovation. Drive organizational change to support rapid growth and evolving customer needs.

 

Requirements:

  • Ecommerce Experience: 10+ years of leadership experience in e-commerce, with a proven track record of managing multiple P&Ls, dynamic teams and driving profitable digital business growth at scale.
  • Strategic Leadership: Exceptional strategic thinking with a deep understanding of digital transformation and e-commerce best practices. Ability to drive alignment and influence cross-functional teams at the executive level.
  • Data-Driven Leadership: Expertise in using analytics, competitive insights, and market trends to guide strategic decision-making and drive business outcomes.
  • Technology and Innovation: Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms (Shopify strongly preferred) and emerging technologies to drive digital innovation.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders and lead executive-level discussions.
  • Qualifications: Degree in business, merchandising, retail or related field may be preferred

 

Salary Range: $220,000 - $250,000
