What You'll do

The SVP, Customer Data & Performance Marketing will play a critical leadership role, driving the company’s strategy around customer data analytics, segmentation, and performance marketing. This role is essential to unifying customer insights across multiple websites and digital touchpoints, translating data into actionable strategies that enhance customer acquisition, retention, and lifetime value. The SVP will collaborate with key stakeholders across marketing, product, technology, and sales to align data-driven insights with performance marketing campaigns to maximize ROI and drive business growth.

What You'll be Working on

Customer Data Strategy & Analytics:

  • Develop and lead the overall customer data strategy, ensuring data is effectively captured, processed, and translated into actionable insights
  • Oversee data collection across multiple websites and digital channels, ensuring integration and uniformity in data management
  • Collaborate with data science, analytics, and business intelligence teams to segment and target customers for personalized marketing strategies
  • Implement tools and systems that support real-time customer data insights and attribution modeling
  • Ensure the highest standards of data governance and privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)

Performance Marketing:

  • Lead and manage the strategy for performance marketing campaigns across paid search, paid social, SEO, display, affiliate, and email channels
  • Work closely with the digital marketing team to optimize customer acquisition and retention strategies using a data-first approach
  • Set KPIs and develop comprehensive dashboards to monitor and report on performance marketing outcomes, ensuring that campaigns are continually optimized for maximum ROI
  • Collaborate with product and UX teams to develop and test new customer acquisition and conversion funnels
  • Implement A/B testing and multivariate testing to improve ad creatives, landing pages, and conversion rates across platforms

Personalization & Customer Experience:

  • Utilize customer data and insights to deliver hyper-personalized shopping experiences across websites and channels
  • Develop scalable personalization programs that enhance the customer journey, increasing satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat purchases
  • Collaborate with the product team to optimize site navigation, product recommendations, and overall user experience through customer data analysis

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of data analysts, performance marketers, and digital marketing professionals
  • Foster a data-driven culture across the organization, ensuring collaboration between marketing, product, and analytics teams
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging marketing technologies to ensure [Company Name] remains at the forefront of digital marketing innovation

Budget Management & Vendor Relations:

  • Own the performance marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize campaign effectiveness and profitability
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and agencies to ensure the seamless execution of marketing strategies and data initiatives

Must Haves

  • 15+ years of experience in performance marketing, data analytics, or a related field, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record of success in leading customer data and performance marketing strategies for large-scale eCommerce or multi-site digital businesses
  • Strong expertise in customer data platforms (CDP), marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and data analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Adobe Analytics)
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and collaborate across departments
  • Deep understanding of online customer acquisition, lifecycle marketing, and retention strategies across multiple channels
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights and marketing strategies to C-level executives
  • Experience managing significant budgets and optimizing marketing spend based on data-driven insights
  • Knowledge of privacy laws and data governance best practices (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)

 

Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000
