What You'll Do:
Authentic Brands Group is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially driven Manager, Brand Operations, Collections EMEAI to oversee the receipt, review, collection and reconciliation of royalty payments related to License Agreements across the EMEAI (Europe, Middle East, Africa, and India) region. This role is pivotal to ensuring licensee compliance with financial obligations and plays a critical role in managing partner relationships, enforcing contract terms, and optimising royalty revenue recovery.
The ideal candidate will bring both financial rigor and strong commercial understanding, working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Brand Management, and Commercial teams to resolve issues and proactively manage risk.
What You'll Be Working On:
- Monitor and ensure timely submission of royalty reports and receipt of royalty payments from all regional licensees.
- Review and reconcile royalty statements in collaboration with the Finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance with contract terms.
- Track and report payment performance, identifying at-risk accounts and escalating unresolved issues to relevant internal stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of license agreements, royalty payment schedules, invoices, and correspondence.
- Address and resolve discrepancies related to royalty reports, underpayments, late payments, and non-compliance.
- Develop and implement strategies to recover overdue royalties, including direct negotiations and, where necessary, coordination with Legal to initiate formal recovery actions.
- Prepare regular internal reports on collection status, trends, aged debt, and licensee compliance.
- Ensure all collections and enforcement actions are aligned with applicable legal standards and internal policies.
- Support compliance with key contractual terms, including but not limited to:
- Off-price sales caps
- Sales to Approved Accounts and within Approved Territories
- Sale of Approved Licensed Articles
- Provide input to internal teams on trends, risks, and opportunities that could impact royalty revenue or partnership health.
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience in royalty collection, credit control, accounts receivable, or financial compliance—preferably in the licensing, media, or retail sectors.
- Proven experience working with large-scale partner networks and managing high-volume transactions across multiple currencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline. CICM certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Strong understanding of royalty-based agreements and licensing revenue models.
- High level of proficiency with Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Familiarity with commercial and legal compliance practices across EMEAI markets.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and investigative mindset.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive conversations with external partners.
