Backend Team Lead 

Job Type: Remote, full-time

AutoDS is looking for a Backend Team Lead to join us!

As a Backend Team Lead, you will play a key role in our global, remote team, taking ownership of a new and innovative e-commerce project. We are seeking an ambitious leader who is excited to be part of something big and take responsibility for the project's success.

The ideal candidate will possess a creative mindset, a passion for problem-solving, and a drive to elevate projects to the next level, ensuring the delivery of high-quality results in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and track features to ensure on-time delivery.
• Support team development by solving challenges and fostering skill growth.
• Maintain high standards of code quality and technical design.
• Enhance workflows and processes for greater efficiency.
• Collaborate and communicate with teams while keeping stakeholders informed.

Main hard skills requirements:

• Extensive Python Experience: 5+ years of commercial development with Python 3.
• Leadership Skills: 2+ years as a Team Lead, including mentoring and guiding team members.
• API Development: Proven experience in creating RESTful APIs using FastAPI.
• Frameworks & Libraries: Hands-on experience with SQLAlchemy, Celery, Motor, and Pydantic.
• Database Proficiency: Strong knowledge of MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Elasticsearch.
• Microservices & Containerization: Expertise in working with microservices architecture, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Agile Practices: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

Soft Skills Requirements:

• Attention to Quality: Commitment to maintaining high standards and improving product architecture and processes.
• Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess and evaluate technical approaches, solutions, and structures effectively.
• Task Management: Skilled in managing backlog tasks, adhering to priorities, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Clear Communication: Proficiency in explaining and presenting technology solutions to diverse stakeholders.
• Documentation Skills: Capable of preparing detailed technical documentation, including descriptions, call sequences, and integration details.
• Process-Oriented: Ability to follow and maintain established development processes effectively.
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities to thrive in a collaborative environment.
• Language proficiency: Intermediate or higher in both English and Russian.(advantage).

Managerial Skills Requirements:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for managing the entire backend team effectively.
• Vision and Roadmap Alignment: Define and align the team's vision, strategy, and roadmap to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
• Team Leadership: Motivate and lead the team to drive continuous improvements and achieve measurable results in performance and productivity.
• Talent Management: Identify, nurture, and promote high-potential team members to foster growth and build a strong pipeline of talent.
