Growth Lead - Core

New York, NY or Remote (North America)

Applicant Privacy Notice

Looking to join a world-class blockchain development team? Ava Labs makes it simple to deploy high-performance solutions for Web3, led by innovations on Avalanche. The company was founded by Cornell computer scientists, who partnered with Wall Street veterans and early Web3 leaders to execute a promising vision for redefining the way people build permissionless networks. Ava Labs is redefining the way people create value with Web3. Join us as we empower people to easily and freely digitize all the world’s assets on one open, programmable blockchain platform.

We’re seeking an exceptional Head of Growth / Growth + BD Lead to supercharge Core’s adoption and retention across the Avalanche ecosystem and beyond. This is not a pure strategy role — we’re seeking a high-agency operator who’s in the trenches, lives and breathes crypto, understands the culture, and knows exactly how to turn vibes into velocity.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own and scale Core’s growth strategy end-to-end — from crypto-native user acquisition and community/ecosystem partnerships to incentives, referrals, and product-led growth.
  • Be the voice of the broader community inside the Core team — translate user needs, trends, and pain points into actionable product and growth insights that feed into product roadmap.
  • Work closely with marketing on go-to-market plans for new features (e.g., native gasless transactions, cross-chain interoperability, NFT support, and Avalanche L1s UX + L1 staking).
  • Lead strategic ecosystem partnerships across blue-chip dApps, protocols (L1s, L2s, etc.), bridges, NFT communities, DeFi primitives, and cross-chain platforms — turning handshake intros into high-impact integrations and campaigns.
  • Design and deploy community-led growth loops — shill squads, power user programs, ambassador networks, referral rewards, and more.
  • Stay connected 24/7 to the alpha—identify emerging narratives before they trend, and make sure Core is always early, not late (e.g., stablecoins, DeFi, games, etc.).
  • Collaborate deeply with product, engineering, and design to fine-tune the wallet experience for maximum retention, trust, and magic.
  • Measure what matters — define KPIs, instrument tracking, and run A/B experiments to drive continuous, compounding growth.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • A crypto-native operator with a proven track record growing products in Web3, ideally in wallets, DeFi, NFTs, or infrastructure.
  • Deeply embedded in the culture: you’re in the right Telegram groups, reading Dune dashboards, minting memes, and contributing to real on-chain activity.
  • You’re a power user of Web3 — you bridge, farm, swap, mint, stake, borrow, and vote with confidence (and probably one hardware wallet and two burner wallets).
  • You know how to turn narrative into distribution — whether it’s a co-marketing launch, token incentive alignment, or a perfectly timed meme.
  • An amazing communicator and initiative taker — you can pitch a partnership to a DeFi founder, rally a community around a feature launch, and distill user pain into a product brief.
  • Strategic thinker AND tactical executor — you can zoom out to plan for the next 12 months and zoom in to close a campaign by Friday.

PREFERRED

  • Worked in/with a top-tier crypto startup, wallet, DAO, or ecosystem growth team
  • Built or led growth funnels/efforts in DeFi, wallets, L1s/L2s, infra, or NFTs
  • Have a meaningful presence on crypto Twitter/X, Telegram, Farcaster, Discord, or similar
  • Dabbled in technical partnerships, DevRel, or light scripting (Solidity, Rust, or data tools like Dune / Flipside)

Base Salary Range: $159,197 - $198,996

(This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. NYC metro candidates are required to be in office 2-3x/week, with exceptions.)

Classification of protected categories is as follows:

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
