Don't See Your Role? Apply Here
Employees are confused about their benefits, and the leaders funding that second-largest expense often can't tell what's working. Avante is changing that: We're an AI-native benefits intelligence platform already trusted by brands like Samsung, News Corp, and Zscaler, with two purpose-built agents. Carly gives employees personalized, always-on guidance, and Ava gives benefits leaders analyst-grade answers on cost, utilization, and outcomes in seconds, closing the loop between employee experience and strategy.
Who We're Looking For
We hire ahead of headcount when we meet someone exceptional. If you don't see an open role that fits, but you know you'd do your best work here, this is the place to introduce yourself. We review every submission and reach out when there's a match, whether that's next week or next quarter.
The people who thrive here come from B2B SaaS and know what it takes to win, serve, and grow enterprise customers. They're AI-native in practice, not in vocabulary. That means AI tools are already part of how they work every day, whether they're writing code, building a campaign, prepping a QBR, or qualifying a lead, and they can show you what they've built with them.
Avante is early-stage but operating at enterprise scale. Roles here are broad, scope shifts as we grow, and the person who owns something today may own twice as much in six months. The right person is energized by that. They're comfortable acting on incomplete information, they want to understand how the whole business works, and they hold a high bar for the quality of what they ship.
Where You Might Fit
Engineering. Build the agentic infrastructure behind Carly and Ava: retrieval, agent orchestration, evaluation, and the integrations that connect claims, carrier, HRIS, and vendor data. We hold a zero-hallucination bar, so quality engineering for AI systems is core work here.
Product and Design. Shape how an AI agent reasons and acts, and design experiences that make benefits feel simple for employees and strategic for benefits leaders. Our PMs prototype with tools like Claude Code daily.
Sales and Partnerships. Sell a new category into enterprise HR, benefits, and finance teams, and grow channel relationships with brokers and consultants. You'll need to explain agentic AI to a benefits committee as fluently as you explain ROI to a CFO.
Customer Success and Implementation. Get enterprise customers live in weeks, not months, then drive adoption and renewals. Customer-facing work gets first priority at Avante, always.
Marketing. Define and grow the benefits intelligence category through content, campaigns, events, and customer stories, using AI to move at a pace a team our size normally couldn't.
Operations, Finance, and People. Build the systems, processes, and team that let a fast-growing company scale without losing its edge.
What We're Looking For
- Experience at a B2B SaaS company, ideally selling to or serving enterprise customers
- Daily, hands-on use of AI tools in your work, with concrete examples of workflows, prototypes, or agents you've built yourself
- A track record of owning outcomes end to end, not just contributing to them
- Comfort making decisions with 70% of the information and adjusting quickly when you learn more
- Clear, direct communication with both technical and non-technical colleagues
- Willingness to work from our Seattle office 4 days a week
Nice to Have
- Experience in benefits, healthcare, HR tech, or insurance
- Early-stage startup experience, especially through a period of rapid growth
- Experience with LLM-powered or agentic products, as a builder, seller, or operator
- A habit of teaching others what you learn, whether through internal demos, writing, or mentoring
How We Work
Our four values aren't aspirational. They translate into concrete operating tenets that shape how we make decisions every day.
Beat Yesterday. We re-evaluate our own toolkit every quarter, because the workflows that made you effective three months ago may already be outdated. We act on 70% of the information rather than waiting for certainty. We timebox, execute, and iterate, getting work in front of real people quickly instead of polishing in isolation. And we own our output regardless of how we produced it. AI can get you 80% of the way there. Everything that goes out with your name on it is your responsibility to review, refine, and stand behind.
Embrace Type 2 Fun. We take on hard problems and find meaning in the work, even when it's uncomfortable. We assume good intent and follow up directly rather than venting in side channels. We celebrate wins loudly and specifically, naming the actual behavior so the whole team learns what great looks like. We are on by default, because we owe it to each other and to our customers to be available beyond what a regular corporate job would demand. And we do unscalable things today that build scalable advantages tomorrow: every hand-built account play and late-night proposal turnaround earns us the right to scale later.
Stay Hungry, Stay Curious. We expect everyone to be the expert on AI in their function before anyone asks them to be. The landscape changes weekly. When you learn something, teach it. Learn enough about adjacent functions to ask good questions. Ask the question you think is too basic, because in complex domains like benefits, the cost of a wrong assumption can be a lost account. And remember: curiosity without urgency is a hobby. Learning has to translate into action on a timeline that matches the opportunity.
Act Like an Owner. We say the uncomfortable thing early, raising missed commitments or quality gaps directly with the person within 48 hours. We surface problems when they're small, not the week they become a crisis. Customer-facing work gets priority, always. And we close the loop every time, because over-communication is a feature at our stage, not a bug.
