Option A:Monday – Thursday: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PMFriday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Option B:Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PMOccasional weekends or evenings may be required for special events.
Compensation: Up to $85,000 annual salary based on experience and qualifications
This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Evening Schedule Aviation Maintenance Technician program, including supervision of faculty and staff and performing administrative functions related to daily operations.
JOB FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the Evening Schedule Aviation Maintenance program, including daily operations, faculty/staff supervision, and teaching assignments.
Partner with Campus and Home Office Education teams on curriculum, course materials, scheduling, and training aids.
Manage faculty performance through hiring, evaluations, coaching, meetings, and mentoring.
Provide instructional support by substituting in classes and offering tutoring to students.
Advise and support students on academic, behavioral, and attendance issues; monitor “at risk” students and update records in Campus Nexus.
Ensure compliance with Department of Education, accreditor, regulatory, and safety (OSHA) requirements.
Oversee tools, equipment, and supply inventory to ensure resources are available and maintained for class projects.
Education
Undergraduate or graduate degree preferred.
FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
Experience/Skills
Must have a minimum of three (3) years related practical work experience in the aviation maintenance field, specifically repair and installation.
At least 3 years teaching experience, with a minimum of 1 year at an AIM campus preferred.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented environment while staying detail-oriented, analytical, organized, and calm under pressure.
High level of integrity, strong work ethic, professionalism, and a customer-service mindset, with persuasive and effective verbal and written communication skills.
Highly motivated, goal-oriented problem-solver with strong interpersonal skills who can work both independently and as a collaborative team member.
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams); CampusNexus experience a plus, and willing to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
NCATT, AET Certification preferred
FCC General Radiotelephone Operators License preferred.
