Principal Account Manager (Spend Management Sales Specialist)

Job Overview:

AvidXchange is looking for a Principal Account Manager (Spend Management Sales Specialist) that will have the opportunity to build a Sales funnel from scratch for a new Product Launch in a fast paced and dynamic team environment.  The Product Specialist is a unique role that mixes the highly consultative aspects of Solutions Consulting / Solution Engineering with the responsibilities of an Account Executive to drive new Revenue for the business.  This individual will be responsible for achieving mastery of the Product and using such mastery to guide our customers and overcome rebuttals within the sales process.  This role will be given a wide range of autonomy to craft the Go-To-Market strategy and will have the accountability for the sales performance of the Product Launch.

What you’ll do:

  • Product Mastery: Gain a deep understanding of our platform, ensuring you can demonstrate its capabilities and benefits proficiently.
  • Sales & Consultation: Conduct product demos to potential clients, tailoring your pitch to their unique needs and ensuring their understanding of how our product can benefit them.
  • Client Consultation: Work consultatively with clients to ensure their needs are met and gather feedback for continuous product improvement.
  • Close Deals: Successfully close sales on calls, converting potential leads into satisfied customers.
  • Continuous Improvement: Refine and evolve the sales pitch based on feedback and the evolving landscape.
  • Team Collaboration: Maintain open communication with the broader team, relaying any issues, feedback, or insights that could contribute to the product's growth and refinement.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience: Proven experience in sales, ideally within the fintech industry.
  • Product Mindset: Strong technical acumen coupled with the ability to communicate high-level concepts clearly.
  • People-Person: Exceptional interpersonal skills with a knack for building relationships.
  • Accountability: Comfortable working autonomously with a high degree of accountability.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a startup environment is a plus.
