Senior Technology Internal Auditor
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in risk assessment and pre-audit planning to conduct independent and objective reviews across our core business processes and operations.
- Develop and execute finance, operational and strategic audit plans to achieve audit objectives.
- Advanced knowledge of IT and Operational processes, internal controls frameworks and risk standards (e.g., COSO, COBIT, ISO, SOX, IIA IPPF).

- Develop and execute finance, operational and strategic audit plans to achieve audit objectives.
- Advanced knowledge of IT and Operational processes, internal controls frameworks and risk standards (e.g., COSO, COBIT, ISO, SOX, IIA IPPF). Experience with auditing both Application and Infrastructure environments across multiple platforms (Windows, UNIX, Linux) required.
- Own, plan, execute and test assigned SOX areas to evaluate controls and identify deficiencies and opportunities to improve operational effectiveness. These assigned areas of responsibility may include all areas of SOX IT audit functions (Logical Security, Change Management, Application / Infrastructure environments, SDLC, ELC’s, Automated Controls, Key Reports, Interfaces, etc.) across different platforms.
- Assist in development or enhancement of control narratives/flowcharts, internal audit programs and internal audit workpapers.
- Communicate audit observations and develop and operationalize remediation plans with business partners.
- Data collection, data analysis, data analytics, audit interviews, documentation, summarization, communication of assessment results.
- Demonstrate a confident and well-developed communication style, both written and spoken, that establishes credibility and facilitates clear understanding of audit issues and influence change where appropriate.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- A minimum of three (3) years of audit or internal controls testing experience, preferably with SOX 404, public company or Big 4 audit experience
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting or Finance or other relevant field
- Knowledge of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR) accounting, reporting, and business intelligence systems
- Intermediate database skills, as well as familiarity with other Microsoft Office products and corporate ERP systems
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment
- Demonstrate confidence and a well-developed communication style, both written and spoken, that establishes credibility and facilitates clear understanding of audit issues and influence change where appropriate
- Unquestioned professional integrity
Preferred Experience, Qualifications, and Skills
- Professionally recognized IT audit (e.g., CIA, CISA) or IT Security (e.g., CISM, CRISC, CISSP) certification preferred. Knowledge of financial accounting processes and non-IT business operations a plus.
- Familiarity with various data analytics tools (e.g. Power BI, Python, Tableau, Alteryx) is a plus
- Knowledge of Cloud Technology a plus
- Strong business understanding and judgment, across multiple lines of business / functional areas.
- Identifies problems, develops and evaluates options, and implements solutions.
- Applies risk assessment principles and in-depth root cause analysis to identify gaps and help develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Understands organizational strengths and corporate vision and identifies points within programs or projects to drive integration between the two.
- Manages competing demands and adapts to frequent change, delays, and unexpected results.
