Role Overview
 
The Project Manager II will lead transformative initiatives, driving the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional projects. This role is pivotal in deploying a professional project management capability and orchestrating change management solutions that encompass people, processes, and technology. The Project Manager II is accountable for enabling the organization to accelerate growth, foster disciplined innovations, and achieve strategic business objectives.
 
This is a hybrid work environment (3 days per week in the office - Tues, Weds, Thurs) and will sit in our Charlotte, NC HQ (Uptown - Music Factory - Free Parking). 

What you'll do

  • Lead and manage medium to large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with business transformation goals and objectives.
  • Drive the execution and delivery of project objectives, prioritizing tasks and making strategic trade-offs to ensure successful and timely completion.
  • Tailor project management approaches to meet the unique needs of various projects, fostering innovation and adaptability.
  • Develop comprehensive plans and high-quality documentation to achieve both short-term and long-term project goals, contributing to the creation of new templates and methodologies.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of successfully planning and managing multiple projects, either as standalone initiatives or as part of larger programs.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with complex assignments, ensuring project stability and success.
  • Lead and inspire distributed project teams across the business, fostering collaboration and effective communication.
  • Articulate the rationale behind control plans, cost/benefit assumptions, and business impacts to stakeholders.
  • Exhibit strategic thinking and convey a clear vision, modeling thought leadership and driving transformative change.
  • Make sound decisions in complex situations and under pressure, ensuring project continuity and success.
  • Provide valuable recommendations to address business opportunities and challenges, driving continuous improvement.
  • Autonomously prioritize and manage workload with minimal guidance, demonstrating accountability and ownership.

What we're looking for

  • BS/BA degree in related field such as Business Management required, or equivalent professional work-related experience
  • 5 or more years related professional experience, and 2 or more years of proven hands-on project management experience within Payments and/ or FinTech related industry
  • Bonus Points | PMI/PMP, Agile Certification
  • Bonus Points | Leading projects within a Product and/ or Engineering team
  • Bonus Points | ERP implementations and Accounts Payable knowledge highly preferred
