Senior Procurement Analyst
Role Overview
The Senior Procurement Analyst is responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement processes within an organization. This role requires a strategic and analytical professional who can optimize procurement operations, ensure cost-effectiveness, and maintain high standards of quality and compliance. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance procurement efficiencies and cost savings.
Virtual candidates will be considered, but the ideal candidate will sit out of our Charlotte, NC HQ (Uptown area) and work in a hybrid work environment (in office Tues, Weds, Thurs).
What you'll do
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Analyze market trends and conditions to identify potential opportunities and risks.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to achieve the best terms and conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and timely supply of goods and services.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of procurement activities to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost reduction initiatives and monitor their impact.
- Prepare and present cost analysis reports to senior management.
- Assess and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to ensure continuity of supply.
What we're looking for
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or a related field
- 5 or more years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Proven track record of managing procurement processes and achieving cost savings
- Experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
