Facilities Technician II
The Facilities Technician reports to the Facilities Manager. The primary responsibility for this role is custodial / cleaning of all Charlotte based Facilities. The secondary responsibility for this position, is to assist in other general tasks that include moving furniture and/or minor maintenance such as replacing light bulbs. This position does require driving between all Charlotte sites, knowing/understanding all the spaces and the rules/services provided by each Property Management firm.
What you will do:
- Cleaning restrooms
- Restocking of supplies in kitchen and restrooms
- Coffee Machines: Cleaning, maintaining, and keeping fully stocked
- Wiping down kitchen areas
- Cleaning conference rooms
- Replacing light bulbs
- Set up of conference spaces
- Furniture layout
- Catering set up
- Returning space to normal set up, as needed
- Emptying trash
- Refrigeration clean out(s)
What we are looking for:
- Required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for long periods of time
- Lift and/or move up to 50lbs
- Ability to drive (license and personal vehicle, required – travel is reimbursed)
- Minimum 5 years custodial and/or general maintenance experience, in a corporate setting
- Valid driver’s license & vehicle – required
- Strong listening skills
- Flexible and able to prioritize
- Customer service oriented – pleasant, friendly, cheerful, energetic, courteous and professional demeanor
- Ability to develop work processes and eliminate unnecessary or redundant steps
- Ability to follow communication through e-mail, voicemail, and text message
- Must be able to work with adaptable hours (early morning start times, evening hours, and/or weekend hours)
- Will be required to wear PPE, as the job requires. PPE requirements could change, over time.Currently PPE consists of:
- Full length pants/jeans
- Company/Department shirt (supplied by Avid)
- Gloves when working with chemicals
- Safety goggles, as needed
