Director of Sales - Enterprise Payments
Job Overview
The Director of Sales – Enterprise Payments, is responsible for leading a team of account executives in the development and execution of strategies to sell AvidXchange's B2B payment solution. This individual will be responsible for managing the growth of a hunter-based sales organization focused on targeting customers across industries such as healthcare, professional services and media. Key responsibilities include setting sales targets, analyzing market trends, building client relationships, and collaborating with other departments like marketing and product development. This strategic role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and analytical skills to achieve high-level sales objectives.
What you’ll do:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies and plans to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing sales team, providing professional development and guidance.
- Performance Management: Set sales quotas, monitor performance, and analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and corrective action.
- Client & Stakeholder Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and internal departments (marketing, product, etc.) to drive collaboration and customer satisfaction.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to inform sales efforts and identify new business opportunities.
- Reporting: Present sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership based on data-driven analysis.
- Budget Management: Manage and approve the sales department's budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Sales Operations: Oversee sales processes, procedures, and tools to ensure departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of experience in a similar sales leadership role is required.
- Experience in payment/fintech sales is a must.
- Leadership: Strong leadership and team-building skills to motivate and guide a sales team.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting, negotiation, and team interaction.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze market data, sales performance metrics, and trends to drive strategic decision-making.
- Strategic Thinking: Capacity to develop long-term sales plans and align them with overall company objectives
- Education: Requires a Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
