Senior Frontend Engineer - Engineering Productivity Systems

About the Team

Our team is responsible for building the internal systems for the whole engineering team. Our goal is to help engineers navigate across all produced data, investigate problems, and create ad hoc analytics. Our services are used daily across the company: by QA engineers verifying component-level quality, by autonomy engineers investigating unexpected behavior, by ML teams validating new model versions, by safety analysts and data scientists who analyze thousands of scenarios and metrics to assess system readiness, and by release engineers who test our products on public roads.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to help us push the boundaries of what web interfaces can do. You’ll be responsible for developing several projects. For example, we have the Simulator as a service. This service helps engineers to reproduce scenarios from real-world rides and calculate metrics. You will build tools to help with mining scenarios, organize them, track simulations, and collect metrics. Another example is the fleet-tracking service. It handles our cars’ and robots’ locations, their building progress, installed equipment, and configuring autopilot to work properly according to the setup. You will develop a system that allows us to safely update the hardware and software setup of our production fleet.

What You'll Do

  • Architecting and implementing React/Typescript applications for different purposes.
  • Collaborating with simulation engineers, the analytics team, and operations teams to ensure robust integration and shape APIs and flows for reliability under edge conditions.
  • Ship fast, iterate often, and deliver responsive, intuitive tools that boost our engineers’ productivity.

What You'll Need

  • 3+ years of experience developing in production environments.
  • Strong React and TypeScript skills — proven track record building fast, maintainable apps.
  • UI intuition — you care about interface design and performance, and you know how to debug slow or janky UIs.
  • System thinking — you know how frontend fits into the bigger picture, and you write code that holds up under load.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with telemetry, maps, or robotics/vehicle systems
  • Basic Python or Go skills for debugging backend issues
