GTM Engineer

San Jose, California, United States

Location: Remote, US (or hybrid HQ San Jose)

Job Type: Full-time

Axiad is the identity security company building Axiad Mesh — the identity risk decision platform for the IVIP era. Mesh translates identity exposure into financial impact, prioritizes risk across human, machine, and agentic identities, and drives remediation through existing operational systems.

The Mesh GTM motion is being built right now — and we need the engineer who wires the revenue engine together. The GTM Engineer is the operational backbone of the revenue team: you build and maintain the outbound infrastructure, CRM architecture, enrichment pipelines, agentic workflows, and automation that let a nimble team operate like one ten times its size. You're not configuring tools — you're designing systems that generate pipeline.

This is a builder role at the intersection of sales, data, and AI. You'll work directly with the CRO and revenue leadership, see the immediate impact of every workflow you ship, and have the rare opportunity to architect the GTM infrastructure from the ground up at a company entering a Gartner-endorsed category.

Role Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain the programmatic outbound engine — signal-based prospecting, multi-channel sequencing, enrichment workflows, and deliverability systems that generate qualified pipeline at scale.
  • Own the CRM architecture — lead routing, lifecycle stages, scoring models, attribution, and data hygiene. Ensure the system of record is the single source of truth for every deal, not a data graveyard.
  • Evaluate, implement, and integrate the tools the revenue team runs on — sequencing platforms, conversation intelligence, proposal automation, and pipeline visibility dashboards.
  • Build AI-powered workflows that automate research, personalization, account scoring, and outreach at a level of quality and scale that manual processes cannot match. Orchestrate across Clay, Regie.ai, LLM APIs, and internal data.
  • Create closed-loop pipeline automation from signal detection through booked meeting — trigger-based outreach, automated follow-up sequences, and real-time pipeline alerting that keeps deals moving.
  • Serve as the operational force multiplier for the entire revenue team. Your infrastructure is what lets a nimble team operate like a department.
  • Instrument every workflow. Track conversion at each stage, run experiments on messaging and sequencing, and optimize based on data — not assumptions.

What We're Looking For

  • Systems builder: You think in workflows and integrations, not tasks. You've built outbound engines, enrichment pipelines, or CRM automation from scratch — and you architect systems that compound over time.
  • Technical fluency: Comfortable with SQL, Python or JavaScript, REST APIs, and no-code/low-code platforms (Clay, Zapier, Make). You write scripts, query data, and build integrations without waiting for engineering.
  • AI-native operator: You use LLMs, agentic frameworks, and AI tooling as core infrastructure — not novelty. You build AI-powered research, personalization, and scoring workflows that run autonomously.
  • Revenue instinct: You understand the sales cycle, have empathy for sellers, and build systems that serve pipeline outcomes — not vanity metrics. You've been close to revenue in a prior role and it shows.
  • Data-disciplined: Obsessive about data hygiene, attribution, and measurement. You know that bad data in CRM poisons every downstream decision.
  • High agency: Speed-oriented, comfortable building in ambiguity. You move without waiting for a playbook, iterate fast, and ship daily. Energized by a nimble team where your work directly moves the number.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years in GTM engineering, revenue operations, growth engineering, sales engineering, or a technical role within a B2B SaaS go-to-market team. What you've built matters more than how long you've been building.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce or HubSpot) at the architecture level — not just as an end user. You've designed lead routing, built automation, and maintained data integrity.
  • Proficiency with modern GTM tooling — enrichment and orchestration platforms (Clay, ZoomInfo, Clearbit), sales engagement platforms (Regie.ai, Outreach, Salesloft), and workflow automation (Zapier, Make, n8n).
  • Working knowledge of SQL and at least one scripting language (Python or JavaScript) and debug a broken workflow is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience building AI-powered workflows — prompt engineering, LLM API integration, agentic task automation. You've shipped AI systems that run in production, not just prototyped in a notebook.
  • Understanding of outbound deliverability fundamentals — domain warm-up, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, inbox placement, and sender reputation management.
  • Prior SDR, BDR, AE, or revenue-adjacent experience that gives you intuition for what sellers actually need is highly valued.

Experience in B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, or enterprise sales environments is strongly preferred.

Why This Role

You're not inheriting a legacy stack — you're building it. Axiad's Mesh GTM motion is being stood up right now: new product, new category, new revenue team. You'll have direct access to the CRO, work shoulder-to-shoulder with revenue leadership, and see the immediate impact of every system you build. This is a rare chance to architect revenue infrastructure from the ground up at a company entering a Gartner-endorsed category with real enterprise customers.

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
