About the role: 

The “Senior Product Manager, Data” role at Axial will lead all aspects of the Axial Data Platform’s product development process. From research and ideation to working with talented senior engineers to launch new data sets and APIs, this PM will be quarterbacking a multi-disciplinary team of product development, data analysis, data science and data engineering professionals who collaborate closely to build products that enable great exit and acquisition outcomes for Axial’s member base. 

PMs at Axial are customer-centric, data-driven critical thinkers that possess a strong understanding of technical application development, good design sense, and an ability to interpret and translate user behavior into high-impact products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy and Roadmap:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders regarding the Axial “Data Platform” and its related strategy.
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap aligned with Axial’s business objectives and priorities.
    • Research new data sets, data tools, and data providers, and proactively make recommendations to benefit Axial’s data ecosystem.
  • Product Development and Management:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize all data opportunities.
    • Lead the design, development, and deployment of new data platforms, pipelines, dashboards, and APIs.
    • Work with data engineers and analysts to ensure timely and efficient delivery of data solutions.
    • Monitor and manage all internal and external Axial data lake integrations.
    • Monitor and manage the product development lifecycle, iterating based on user feedback and performance metrics.
  • Data Accessibility and Usability
    • Build products that make data accessible, understandable, and actionable for users.
    • Ensure seamless integration of data into new and existing tools, workflows, and platforms.
    • Advocate for user-centric design in dashboards and APIs.
  • Analytics and Insights:
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
    • Use analytics to inform product improvements across the Axial ecosystem and identify new opportunities for leveraging data.
  • Data Governance and Quality:
    • Ensure that data products comply with data governance standards, privacy regulations, and security protocols.
    • Advocate for and implement best practices in data quality, management, and usability.
    • Partner with engineering, analytics, and business teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality data solutions.

  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in a data-centric role that operated at scale. Preferably in a technology, marketplace, or high-growth company.

  • Bonus: Experience in the world of M&A and / or private capital markets creates a nice head start in this role

$180,000 - $220,000 USD
