What will you be doing?

The Account Executive, Account Expansion  (Investment Banking Coverage) role is a hybrid hunter / farmer role organized around both expanding and serving a territory of sell-side investment banks. Your objective is to grow your territory’s active healthy member count by selling Axial’s sell-side deal marketing and business development tools and solutions.

The path to outperformance in this role is unlocked by mastering the Axial product, mastering the talk tracks that effectively communicate the value of the Axial platform in conversations with members, and consistently executing the right account outreach, connected call, and follow-up motions. You will be actively supported, developed, and coached in each of these areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Master the Axial suite of deal marketing product capabilities and the strategic and tactical talk tracks that build trust with our prospective and active member investment banks
  • Drive growth in your territory’s usage of the Axial platform, measured in both breadth and depth, by methodically engaging in a proactive, targeted and professional set of account expansion and management motions (email, phone, zoom, and in-person meetings)
  • Leverage Axial's sell-side partnership program to deepen existing relationships and enhance our working relationships with Axial's most productive set of sell-side members
  • Be a consistent and thoughtful voice delivering member feedback and product improvement opportunities internally. Communicate member feedback to the organization to help drive the company’s product and member experience strategies and priorities

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of quota-carrying experience in B2B sales / account management 
  • Prior exposure and sales experience in or around investment banking or private equity is a strong plus
  • Exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills
  • Credible and demonstrated experience in building a career in B2B sales/account management
  • Referenceable history of achieving increasing levels of excellence in personal or professional settings

We have a comfortable and fully functional office in Manhattan on 30th and Park and NYC-based employees are in the office at least 3 days a week (Tues, Wed, Thur). Compensation:

The posted salary range represents the total On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this role, which includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. A candidate's final compensation package will be determined based on several factors, including the candidate’s primary work location, skills, years of experience, market conditions, and internal parity.
