The Role

We’re looking for an Employee Experience Coordinator to help elevate day-to-day life at Axial—both remotely and in our NYC office. Reporting to our People Operations Manager, this person will play a key role in creating an outstanding employee experience, supporting our hybrid team, and keeping our workspace and people operations humming smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Experience

  • Lead initiatives that foster a happy, engaged, and inclusive workforce

  • Organize virtual and in-person employee events

  • Manage employee swag, gifts, and recognition programs

  • Keep our internal wiki up to date

  • Be the first line of support for day-to-day employee questions

Office Management

  • Oversee day-to-day NYC office needs: supplies, maintenance, access, and vibe

  • Liaise with vendors, manage invoices, and ensure the office is an awesome place to work

  • Solve workplace issues as they arise—before they become real problems

Onboarding

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding logistics: equipment, desk setup, orientation, and culture integration

  • Ensure a warm and helpful experience for all new hires from day one

People Operations Support

  • Assist our People Ops Manager with administrative and logistical tasks across recruiting, benefits, employee engagement, and compliance

  • Be ready to jump in and help wherever needed on the people team


Who You Are:

  • Experience: 1+ years of experience in office management, employee experience, or related roles
  • Reliable & Detail-Oriented: You take ownership, stay organized, and have a keen attention to detail
  • Resourceful: you can autonomously use the resources at your disposal to problem solve indepdenently, while
  • Coachable & Curious: You pick up new tools and processes quickly and ask smart questions along the way
  • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with GSuite, Slack, Zoom, HRIS, and ATS platforms
  • Warm & Sociable: You love creating positive team experiences and being the go-to person for your colleagues
  • Respectful & Positive: You’re a team player with a great attitude who uplifts those around you
