More about the role:

As a Digital Strategist, you're not just running campaigns – you're reading the room. We need someone who understands why things resonate, not just that they do. Someone who combines deep platform expertise with cultural intuition to see what's coming next – and knows how to get our clients there first.

But you're not just looking at today's platforms. You're scanning the horizon for what's next - assessing new channels, testing emerging environments, and helping Axicom stay ahead of the curve.

You'll report to our Account Director, Digital Services, while working closely with and mentoring an Account Executive. Together, you'll ensure our paid media output is precise, optimised, and always evolving.

What you'll do:

  • The Cultural Architect: You are the designer of our clients' digital success. You won’t just answer briefs; you will define them. By synthesising complex performance data, platform insights, creator-led trends, and wider cultural trends, you will build high-level strategies that ensure our clients don’t just show up, but stand out. You will act as the bridge between "what the data says" and "what the culture is doing," translating numbers into narratives and ensuring every strategic move is backed by evidence and intuition.
  • The Performance Catalyst: You are the force that makes our ideas travel. Strategy is only as good as its activation, and you will ensure ours creates a reaction. Acting as an account lead, you will drive the planning, optimisation, and scaling of campaigns across the digital ecosystem (LinkedIn, Meta, and beyond) – including dedicated and sophisticated Paid Media executions. You will ensure these efforts never sit in a silo, working hand-in-glove with PR and Creative to amplify earned media moments - delivering a truly integrated approach where the idea leads and the channel follows.
  • The Agency Pioneer: You are leading the way for the business, not just your accounts. You will build deep, trusted partnerships with senior stakeholders, managing budgets and expectations with commercial rigor. But beyond the day-to-day, you are looking forward. You will help shape the future of Axicom by identifying organic growth opportunities and championing our AI evolution. You will lead by example in adopting and operationalising AI tools, ensuring we remain the most tech-enabled agency in the network.

Experience that contributes to success:

  • Paid Media Mastery: This is non-negotiable. You are an expert in the platforms (LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Meta Ads Manager, etc.) with deep practical experience in planning, budgeting, optimising, and scaling performance campaigns.
  • Creator Economy Fluency: You understand the influencer landscape - from macro-voices to micro-communities. You have a strong point of view on how creator-led content drives performance and can seamlessly integrate influencer strategies into broader digital plans.
  • Integrated Thinking: You have a history of working alongside PR and Communications teams. You understand that digital doesn't live in a silo - it amplifies media relations, corporate reputation, and creative storytelling.
  • Analytical Storytelling: You are comfortable using analytics and data visualisation platforms to interpret performance. You don’t just report numbers; you can prove the value of the work and ROI to clients.
  • Agency Pedigree: Significant experience in a digital, social, or integrated agency environment, with a proven track record of managing senior client stakeholders and complex accounts.
  • Commercial Acumen: You have experience managing client P&Ls, forecasting, and identifying organic growth opportunities. You understand the business of the agency as well as the business of the client.
  • AI Literacy: You have a working knowledge of the current AI landscape and practical experience using AI tools to drive efficiency, innovation, or creativity in your workflows
