The Tax Manager will support the Head of Tax at Axi Group in managing the Group's global tax function. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the Group's tax filings and compliance with all tax obligations worldwide. The ideal candidate will be a Tax Accountant with at least 3 years of experience in a Big 4 firm, looking to take on a challenging role in a dynamic and global environment.
Your EDGE Assignment/You Will
- Assist the Head of Tax in overseeing the Group’s global tax operations, ensuring smooth coordination between internal stakeholders and external advisors.
- Take a proactive role in managing the Group’s relationships with tax authorities, ensuring compliance and addressing any issues that may arise.
- Ensure the accurate and timely filing of the Group’s Income Tax, FBT, and indirect tax returns (GST/VAT) across all relevant jurisdictions.
- Oversee the accurate posting of tax related transactions into the general ledger and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reconciliations.
- Prepare and review tax documentation, including workpapers, to support filings with revenue authorities.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the tax function’s processes.
- Drive initiatives aimed at optimizing tax reporting and compliance processes, leveraging technology where possible.
- Collaborate with the Group Finance Director and the broader Finance team on all related tax matters, audits and special projects related to the Group’s accounting and tax functions.
- Provide expert support during tax audits, ensuring that all documentation and compliance requirements are met.
- Consistently take ownership of assigned projects, ensuring their completion to a high standard and within specified timelines.
- Contribute to strategic tax planning and the development of tax policies under the guidance of the Head of Tax.
Are you the one?
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification.
- At least 3 years of experience in tax accounting, preferably within a Big 4 firm.
- Strong knowledge of global tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in using tax accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
