Who We Are.

Axi is a leading global provider of margin and deliverable Foreign Exchange, Contracts for Difference (CFDs), and Financial Spread betting. Our business has evolved into a world-class, multifaceted brokerage with offices in six regions. With heavy investment in the latest trading technology, Axi seeks to offer the most comprehensive end-to-end trading experience available, servicing traders of all levels from beginners to institutional-level clients.

Let's talk about the cool stuff you will do at Axi!

At Axi, we’re looking for a passionate and forward-thinking Senior Software Architect to lead the design and development of high-quality, scalable software solutions across our global platforms. You will play a key role in setting the architectural vision, guiding best practices, and enabling cross-team collaboration to ensure our systems are robust, secure, and aligned with business goals.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with technical leads and subject matter experts, shaping architectural blueprints and roadmaps, while also mentoring developers and promoting excellence in engineering practices. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design and code—bringing architectural vision to life with clean, efficient, and maintainable solutions.

Your EDGE Assignment/You Will

  • Define and document target architecture blueprints and patterns for .NET Core microservices, React/React Native frontends, and Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Guide the design of high-availability, low-latency systems including API gateways, messaging architecture, caching strategies, and circuit breaker patterns for trading platforms.
  • Establish observability standards: structured logging, distributed tracing, metrics, SLOs, and alerting practices across the organization.
  • Lead architecture reviews, threat modeling, and Proofs of Concept for significant initiatives, evaluating technology choices and design trade-offs.
  • Advise on Kubernetes (AKS) strategies, containerization, container registries, and deployment patterns (GitOps, blue-green, canary).
  • Define infrastructure-as-code standards, CI/CD pipeline architecture, and DevOps tooling to enable safe, fast deployments.
  • Guide data architecture decisions across SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Databricks, and data lake storage for transactional and analytical workloads.
  • Partner with Security and Compliance teams on architectural security, regulatory requirements, and audit-friendly designs.
  • Mentor senior engineers, architects in training, and technical leads to grow architectural maturity across the organization.

Technical Requirement

  • Deep knowledge of .NET Core microservices, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), Clean Architecture, CQRS, and event-driven design patterns.
  • Expert-level Azure experience: App Services, AKS (Kubernetes), Service Bus, Event Grid, API Management, Cosmos DB, SQL Database, Key Vault, Storage, monitoring (Application Insights).
  • Strong Kubernetes/AKS expertise: cluster design, networking, security (RBAC, network policies), resource management, autoscaling, and GitOps principles (FluxCD, ArgoCD).
  • Solid understanding of DevOps: CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, ARM templates), containerization (Docker), and deployment patterns.
  • Experience designing resilient systems: circuit breakers, retries, bulkheads, timeouts, fallbacks, and chaos engineering practices.
  • Strong grasp of observability: structured logging, distributed tracing (Application Insights, OpenTelemetry), metrics (Prometheus), and alerting (e.g., Azure Monitor, Datadog).
  • Knowledge of security architecture: API security (OAuth2, JWT, mTLS), secrets management, encryption, and defense-in-depth strategies.
  • Experience with data architecture patterns and considerations (OLTP/OLAP, relational/NoSQL, eventual consistency).

Are you the one?

  • 7–14+ years of software engineering with significant architectural leadership and hands-on technical depth.
  • Proven track record architecting and operating large-scale, distributed systems in production (ideally fintech, trading, or other mission-critical domains).
  • Strong ability to communicate complex architecture and design decisions to both technical teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated influence over organizational practices, standards, and technology choices across multiple teams and geographies.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to evaluate trade-offs between innovation, performance, cost, and regulatory requirements.

Axi's bag of delights

  • Health Insurance.
