New Business Development Partner
The big picture: Axios is a growth-stage media company dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning news content in an audience-first format. We are hiring a New Business Development Partner to support continuity and revenue growth across Local markets while developing the next generation of Client Partners.
This developmental sales role provides temporary territory coverage, takes on increasing responsibility for pipeline and revenue generation, and gives high-performing sales talent the opportunity to build toward independent territory ownership.
Why it matters: The New Business Development Partner helps ensure Local revenue momentum continues during leaves, vacancies, and other temporary territory gaps. Working closely with sales leadership, this person will prospect for new business, support and increasingly lead the sales cycle, and keep assigned client relationships in good standing until they can be transitioned back to a permanent territory owner.
The role is designed as a developmental step toward future Client Partner opportunities and reports to the Managing Director of Regional Client Partnerships.
Go deeper: Ideal candidates thrive in ambiguity, adapt quickly to new markets, and love the challenge of building something from scratch. They are energized by prospecting, resilient in the face of rejection, and motivated by creating new opportunities rather than maintaining existing business.
