Overview
Axle is looking to add a driven, flexible, organized, and meticulous Project Manager to our dynamic team. The Contractor(s) shall provide services in support of the overall functions of the Division of Intramural Research (DIR), Laboratory of Virology (LV).
Technical Requirements:
Perform data handling and data Inventory of high-tech laboratory equipment manage lab and office equipment registration in the property management portal.
Perform Inventory of supplies, equipment, and services, initiate orders for office and laboratory supplies, parts and services.
Work with staff on the use of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) labeler and the Inventory system, FreezerPro.
Work with staff to coordinate and assemble data to respond to inquiries from laboratory staff through the USA software applications.
Prepare domestic, foreign, and sponsored travel packages.
Place work orders for lab staff as requested for lab maintenance and repairs using online service request program.
Prepare and maintain tracking spreadsheet for laboratory staff computers; monitor and communicate with SOM/SOS the need for replacements and upgrades.
Work with laboratory staff to ship domestic and internal packages; prepare electronic labels and required paperwork; keep current on required training and certifications pertaining to shipping.
Assist with preparing documents for travel for seminar speakers and other visitors.
Assist with meetings and conferences organization; manage and coordinate calendars for the Federal Task Leader and other staffs.
Work with and meet with administrative staff members to keep up to date on policies and procedures regarding personnel and travel.
Prepare documents for laboratory; review the material for grammar, punctuation, and other errors.
Prepare personnel packages and documents for fellows with research training awards, contract hires, special volunteers.
Review outgoing correspondence and other documents for procedural and grammatical accuracy, proper format, and conformance with established policy.
Prepare a variety of reports and science-related documents.
Establish and maintain a variety of automated and manual subject matter files and records.
Specific Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field. Associate degree plus two (2) years of specialized experience is equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.
Two (2) years of related experience.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
Knowledge of NIH procurement and travel systems is a plus.
Strong communications skills, both oral and written.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
