We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance and Accounting Analyst to support the day-to-day operations of our finance and accounting team. This role requires an experienced analyst/accountant with a curious mind and a passion for automation and process improvement. The ideal candidate excels at aligning process execution with organizational goals, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and driving continuous improvement.
The Finance and Accounting Analyst will play a critical role in supporting critical finance and accounting processes, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger management, and financial reporting. This individual will play a central role in a diverse team, streamlining task efforts, documenting key processes and driving operational excellence through effective planning and communication.
Responsibilities

Process routine accounts payable and receivable transactions with accuracy.

Support payroll administration, timekeeping validations, and basic reconciliations.

Prepare and post standard journal entries under supervision.

Assist with monthly close activities, including gathering support and performing preliminary account reconciliations.

Generate recurring financial reports and dashboards using templates.

Perform basic variance analysis and highlight discrepancies to senior team members.

Maintain documentation and ensure completeness of accounting files per GovCon requirements.

Follow established internal controls and standard operating procedures.

Assist with data collection and preparation for internal or external audits.

Support compliance tasks related to GAAP, allowable cost principles, and contract requirements.

Enter, review, and validate data in ERP and financial systems (e.g., Dynamics, Business Central, Deltek).

Develop proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, and automation tools with guidance.

Help test system updates or new processes implemented by senior analysts.

Participate in initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Update checklists, guides, and process documentation as directed.

Provide administrative and analytical support during process transitions or technology rollouts.

Work with AP/AR, HR, operations, and project teams to gather financial information.

Communicate status updates and escalate issues promptly.

Provide customer-service-oriented support to internal stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (required)

Minimum 2 years of progressive finance and accounting operations experience

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Dynamics, Business Central, Power BI)

Knowledge and understanding of efficiency enhancing tools such as PowerAutomate and PowerBI, with a Mastery of Excel

Demonstrated ability to work with external stakeholders

Deep understanding of accounting operations

Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Experience in process automation and financial technologies

Resilient, adaptable, and skilled in conflict resolution

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
Salary Range
$75,000 - $90,000 USD
