Axle is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Institute on Aging (NIA) in Baltimore, MD.

Overall Position Summary and Objectives
Provide support services to satisfy the overall operational objectives of the National Institute on Aging. The primary objective is to provide services and deliverables through performance of support services
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient assessments and monitoring throughout research visits
- Perform IV placement, phlebotomy, medication administration, cardiac monitoring, and apheresis (Spectra Optia or equivalent)
- Assist physicians with examinations and procedures
- Assess and report adverse reactions and clinical findings
- Obtain informed consent (after training and PI approval)
- Ensure compliance with research protocols, IRB standards, and Good Clinical Practice
- Educate participants and support quality control and safety initiatives
- Accurately document and manage clinical research data
- Strong oral and written communication skills — able to clearly educate participants, collaborate with researchers, and document clinical findings with precision
- Hands-on Apheresis experience (Spectra Optia or equivalent REQUIRED)
- Working hours: 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM schedule
- Proficiency in MS Office
Certifications & Licenses
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Active RN license in the State of Maryland

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
Salary Range
$85,000 - $100,000 USD
