Job Requirements

• Perform mosquito-parasite assays, membrane feeding assays, and mosquito dissections

• Maintain mosquito colonies and parasite cultures for vaccine candidate assessment

• Conduct immunology procedures including tissue culture, serological assays, ELISA, and liquid chromatography

• Calibrate and operate laboratory equipment (microscopes, balances, plate readers, spectrophotometers, pH meters, etc.)

• Prepare stock solutions, media, and laboratory buffers

• Maintain accurate electronic laboratory records and analyze experimental data

• Write reports and organize findings for scientific publication

• Work independently while meeting experiment deadlines

• Provide monthly and quarterly reporting as required

Education & Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biology

• Minimum of two (2) years of related laboratory experience

• Knowledge of general laboratory sterile technique

• Strong documentation skills and attention to detail

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in insect rearing and/or aseptic tissue culture

• Experience working with quality systems and SOPs

• Interest in malaria vaccinology

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Familiarity with PowerPoint, statistical software, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and database management tools
