Axle is seeking a Computer Systems Analyst to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the NCATS in Rockville, MD.

Specific Requirements:

Work with internal stakeholders across research laboratories; determine needs and provide IT support for computerized systems supporting laboratory activities.

Install and configure scientific enterprise-level applications on end-user machines.

Work to provide continual operability of chemistry related software applications performing daily troubleshooting and maintenance.
-
Provide support to end-users, including troubleshooting and assistance.

Act as primary contact with software vendors to verify all licenses, upgrades, and patches are up to date and confirm compatibility with other software packages.

Involvement with ASPIRE program regarding the extraction, curation, and management of electronic notebook data.

System administrator for PerkinElmer Electronic Lab Notebook (ELN), ChemBioOffice Enterprise

(CBOE), CambridgeSoft ChemDraw, Mestrelab Mnova Suite.

Work with subject matter experts on the selection, implementation and support of software systems used by researchers.

Work with internal stakeholders and external vendors to improve laboratory operations and instrument data analysis.

Coordinate with IT support team, Informatics, and software vendors to ensure proper maintenance of applications and database servers, including patch installation, database migration, and system upgrades.

Coordinate with IT support to resolve hardware and software issues pertaining to the functions of scientific applications.

Coordinate and provide support and maintenance for front-end and back-end servers.

Deploy security measures to maintain integrity of systems and data.
Education:
-
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline
Experience:
-
Minimum ten (10) years of specialized experience

This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
Salary Range
$120,000 - $130,000 USD
