Axle is seeking a Sleep Technician to join our vibrant team at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) supporting the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) located in BETHESDA, MD.

Responsibilities
- Perform polysomnographic recording PSG on demand, one or two nights of recording per patient
-Provides technical experience to perform polysomnographic (PSG) recording.
- Perform polysomnographic recording based on individual patient requirement, such as monitoring leg movement, apnea, sleep behavior
- Reviews study protocol with subjects and monitors procedures.
- Review study protocol with subjects
- Monitors population of patients for sleep testing.
- Document routine observations, changes in procedures, or other events to use while scoring
- Documents routine observations, changes in procedures, or other events to use while scoring.
- Maintain logbooks, records and computerized files of studies
- Develops and organizes policies, procedures and reports of research findings.
- Perform patient assessments
- Responsible for proper care and function of instruments and making minor adjustments.
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting and training to research and study staff performing variety of neurodiagnostic testing and conducting various studies
- Provide neurodiagnostic testing expertise to researchers designing, planning and documenting research and studies.
- Attend research and study planning meetings and provide recommendations to researchers related to neurodiagnostic testing and procedures
- Score sleep records
- Mentor training to new technicians

Salary Range

$75,000 - $80,000 USD
