Justice Account Executive, Inside Sales
Join Axon and be a Force for Good.
At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We’re explorers, pursuing society’s most critical safety and justice issues with our ecosystem of devices and cloud software. Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.
Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.
Your Impact
At Axon, we’re on a mission to Protect Life. We build technology that transforms public safety and justice — from body cameras and digital evidence management to connected courtroom and case management solutions. Our Justice team partners with state and local judicial agencies to modernize how prosecutors and public defenders operate.
As an Account Executive on our Inside Sales Team, you’ll drive new business and expand existing relationships with smaller justice agencies (county and city prosecutors, public defenders, and court stakeholders). You’ll own the full sales cycle — from prospecting and multi-threading relationships to guiding customers through Axon’s ecosystem of SaaS and hardware solutions.
What You’ll Do
Location: This role is based out of one of our hub locations (Scottsdale AZ, or Boston MA) and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. We believe that connection fuels innovation, and our in-office culture is designed to foster meaningful teamwork, mentorship, and shared success.
- Own and grow a defined territory of judicial agencies across multiple states, focusing on small to mid-sized agencies.
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans to meet and exceed quota for new business and expansion.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships across justice agencies, including prosecutors, public defenders, court administrators, IT leaders, and procurement officials.
- Collaborate closely with internal specialists — including solutions engineers, product, marketing, and customer success — to align Axon solutions to customer needs.
- Lead discovery, tailored demos, pilots, and negotiations with a consultative, value-based approach.
- Stay close to customer workflows, procurement cycles, and competitor activity to anticipate and remove friction from deals.
- Accurately manage pipeline and forecast in Salesforce, providing clear visibility into territory performance.
- Travel regionally as needed (approx. 3–4 times per year) to represent Axon Justice at statewide conferences and customer events.
What You Bring
- 2+ years of customer-facing Software (SaaS/Cloud) sales experience, including SDR/BDR or full-cycle AE roles.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a metrics-driven environment.
- Experience managing a full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demos, pilots/trials, and closing.
- Data management experience using Salesforce (preferred) or a similar CRM.
- Strong understanding of modern cloud/SaaS concepts and the ability to speak credibly about technical solutions at a high level.
- Able to clearly and directly articulate complex solution offerings to both technical and non-technical audiences (from IT leaders to legal stakeholders).
- Willing and able to travel for 3–4 conferences per year, including occasional overnight travel.
- Team player who collaborates regularly with peers, leaders, and cross-functional partners.
- High ownership mindset — ready to own and drive your territory.
- Experience selling into state and local government, justice, or public safety agencies.
- Background or education in Criminal Justice, Legal, or Public Safety.
- Experience selling a multi-product platform (software + hardware + services).
