QA Technician I (Onsite)

Your Impact
As an Axon RMA Technician, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and supporting analysis of devices returned by customers. You will play a key role in identifying product issues, recovering data when needed, and contributing to root cause analysis that helps improve product quality and reliability.
This role supports Axon’s quality and product improvement efforts by ensuring returned devices are evaluated accurately and efficiently, while maintaining clear documentation and collaboration with the RMA team.
What You’ll Do

Reports to: RMA Technician Supervisor

Perform initial testing and troubleshooting of devices returned by customers.

Work closely with the RMA Lead Technician to prioritize and evaluate returned products.

Follow established testing procedures, diagnostics documentation, and data recovery processes for Axon devices.

Document findings and contribute data to quality tracking systems such as Jira and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

Assist with root cause investigations related to device failures and product performance.

Support repair or component-level analysis of returned electronic devices when applicable.

Maintain clear and accurate records of testing results and product evaluations.

Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Product teams to provide insight into product issues.

Maintain organized handling and processing of returned equipment within the RMA workflow.

Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying trends or recurring failure patterns.

Travel occasionally (up to 10%) to support RMA-related activities when required.

What You Bring

Strong interest in working within a fast-paced electronics testing environment.

Analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation accurately.

Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Experience working in electronics manufacturing, repair, or R&D environments.

Familiarity with Jira, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar quality/ticketing systems.

Exposure to root cause analysis and failure investigation processes.
