Like our products, we work better together. We connect with candor and care, seeking out diverse perspectives from our customers, communities and each other.
Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.
Your Impact
The Trials & Evaluation team sits at the heart of Axon's go-to-market engine — turning curiosity into conviction for the agencies and organizations we serve. We manage the end-to-end experience that puts Axon hardware and software in the hands of real customers, letting our products speak for themselves. If you thrive on operational excellence, cross-functional collaboration, and making complex logistics look effortless, this is the team for you.
The Trials & Evaluation Coordinator is a critical operational role responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of Axon product trials and evaluations. This individual serves as the central hub between Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Logistics teams — ensuring that every trial is set up, staffed, and executed seamlessly so that prospective customers experience Axon's technology at its best.
Beyond day-to-day trial operations, this role owns the nationwide logistics program for Axon Fleet demo vehicles, coordinates Axon's Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) trial program — bringing working knowledge of agency-side deployment and permitting considerations so pilots are set up for success — acts as the subject matter expert (SME) for the Cradlepoint renewal process, and drives continuous operational improvement through automation and documentation.
What You’ll Do
Location: This role is based out of one of our hub locations (Scottsdale AZ, Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Seattle WA, Washington DC, San Francisco CA) and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in-person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. We believe that connection fuels innovation, and our in-office culture is designed to foster meaningful teamwork, mentorship, and shared success.
Trial Operations
- Receive, triage, and process incoming trial requests from the Sales team, ensuring all necessary information is captured before procurement begins
- Coordinate the procurement, configuration, and shipping of Axon hardware and software for customer trials
- Schedule and confirm trial resources, including Professional Service Managers and field installers, aligning availability with trial timelines
- Track active trials end-to-end and manage the post-trial return process for all gear, ensuring accurate inventory reconciliation
ALPR Program Coordination
- Coordinate end-to-end logistics and operational setup for Axon's Automatic License Plate Reader (ALPR) trials — including device staging, vehicle and fixed-site installation scheduling, and post-trial recovery across mobile, trailer-based, and fixed deployments
- Serve as the operational point of contact for ALPR trial deployments, partnering with Sales, Product Success Managers, and field installers to ensure each pilot is configured to the agency's specific use case, coverage area, and hotlist requirements
- Bring working knowledge of the jurisdictional permitting considerations that surround ALPR camera placement (e.g., right-of-way, utility/pole attachment, DOT/traffic) so trial scoping, timelines, and customer conversations realistically account for what the agency will need to secure on their side
- Build and maintain trackers for ALPR trial milestones and hotlist sources — with visibility into any agency-side prerequisites — to ensure auditability and a smooth handoff to Customer Success at trial conversion
- Partner with Legal, Privacy, and agency stakeholders on community engagement materials, data-sharing agreements, and ALPR policy documentation frequently required ahead of pilot kickoff
Cradlepoint Renewals
- Serve as the primary SME and point of contact for the Cradlepoint renewal process
- Proactively coordinate with Sales, Customer Success Managers (CSMs), and cross-functional teams to manage upcoming renewals, generate quotes, and ensure zero lapse in service for customers
Process & Automation
- Build and maintain operational automations across Smartsheet, Slack, and Salesforce to streamline trial creation, tracking, and management workflows
- Create, maintain, and continuously improve documentation for all trial and evaluation processes to ensure consistency and scalability
- Partner with Product teams ahead of new product launches to ensure trial readiness, flagging gaps and coordinating solutions in advance
What You Bring
- 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, program coordination, or a similar role — preferably in a technology or SaaS environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities without dropping details
- Proficiency with Salesforce (pipeline visibility, record management) and Smartsheet (workflow automation, tracking dashboards)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable coordinating across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Logistics teams
- Experience building or maintaining process documentation in a structured, repeatable format
- Hands-on experience building automated workflows in Slack, Smartsheet, or Salesforce preferred
- Familiarity with hardware logistics — including shipping, receiving, and inventory management
- Experience managing vendor or partner renewal processes (e.g., connectivity, software licensing) preferred
- Prior exposure to law enforcement, public safety, or enterprise hardware/software solutions preferred
