QA Technician III (Onsite)

Your Impact
As Axon’s RMA Technician, you will support product quality and the customer experience by testing and troubleshooting devices returned by customers. You will help identify failures, follow established testing and data-recovery processes, and document accurate findings that support root-cause analysis and continuous product improvement.
What You’ll Do
Location: Axon 5 – Deer Valley, Phoenix, Arizona
Reports to: RMA Technician Supervisor, Randy Watson
Travel: Up to 10%
- Perform initial testing and troubleshooting of customer-returned Axon devices.
- Coordinate with the RMA Lead Technician on assigned device types, testing priorities, and daily work.
- Follow established testing documentation, work instructions, and data-recovery processes for Axon products.
- Accurately document test results, device findings, and relevant data in quality systems, including Jira and Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Support root-cause analysis and problem-solving efforts by gathering, documenting, and communicating accurate technical findings.
- Handle and repair small electronic components as needed.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Work independently while collaborating effectively with the broader RMA and Quality teams.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Flex into other responsibilities as needed to support overall team priorities.
- Travel up to 10% as business needs require.
What You Bring
- Interest in testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing electronic devices in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in developing root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- High level of accuracy with data entry and technical documentation.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Fine motor skills required to handle and repair small electrical components.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted, including battery totes and similar materials.
- Ability to safely work in a warehouse environment.
- Willingness to shift roles and priorities as needed to support the team.
- Experience in electronics or electrical manufacturing, quality, repair, or research and development environments.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Jira.
- Experience testing, troubleshooting, or repairing electronic devices.
