Your Impact

The Axon VR team is building immersive training experiences that help officers develop greater empathy, improve decision making under pressure, and enhance community engagement. As a Software Engineer on our Engineering team, you will help build and maintain the internal tools and infrastructure that let every team work faster, more predictably, and with greater confidence.

This is an L6 role for a focused problem solver. You will break down and solve well defined tasks end to end, build familiarity with our technology stack and domain, and begin to see how your work connects to product and customer outcomes. You will work with regular guidance from senior engineers and grow toward owning complete features. This role is ideal for an engineer who is curious about developer productivity, build and test infrastructure, and enabling cross functional teams to ship world class work.

What You'll Do

Location: This role is based out of our Seattle, WA office and follows a hybrid schedule. We rely on in person collaboration and ask that team members work onsite Tuesdays through Fridays, with the flexibility to work remotely on Mondays, unless there is an approved workplace accommodation. We believe that connection fuels innovation, and our in office culture is designed to foster meaningful teamwork, mentorship, and shared success.

  • Build and maintain tooling that supports functional, integration, and performance testing, and write automated tests for your own work.
  • Help create dashboards, alerts, and monitoring that show system health, deployment status, and pipeline performance, and use them to investigate issues with support from senior engineers.
  • Work with engineers, QA, and other teams to understand workflow problems, gather requirements, and confirm that your solutions work for them.
  • Write and update documentation, onboarding materials, and best practices so teams can adopt and maintain internal tools.
  • Collect user feedback, try small improvements, and iterate on the tools you work on. Share what you learn with teammates and grow toward owning complete features.

What You Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in software development or infrastructure engineering, including internships or substantial project work.
  • Hands on experience building applications in Unity, with a willingness to deepen your skills on customer facing products.
  • Solid C# fundamentals, with good class design and a growing understanding of system architecture.
