AXON
AXON is a global healthcare communications agency that ignites change in healthcare. Through the power of life-changing communications, we contribute to medical advances that improve lives. At the core of every scientific innovation and advancement, there is a simple and compelling story to be told. We know how to tell that story, how to use the right tools to reach the right audiences at the right time, to provoke meaningful change.
We specialise in advising clients on medical affairs, clinical studies, real-world evidence, marketing, advocacy, and communications, all underpinned by insights and creative strategy.
AXON has an international reach, with offices in Copenhagen, London, New York, and Toronto, and a worldwide affiliate network. Established in 2002, we have a deep heritage and expertise in healthcare strategy and communication, and we continue to learn and grow in the fast-changing healthcare sphere. AXON is proudly an AVENIR GLOBAL company.
Role
Creative Marketing at AXON is all about doing the right thing. We believe that’s about honest consultation with clients, so we act in their interests but not always according to their brief. Insightful consideration to unlock more value. And pushing creativity upstream to give it more clout. All this gives us confidence in what we deliver and builds confidence in us.
Creative Marketing is the newest practice in AXON, so we have the rare opportunity to build and shape the practice just the way we want to. We’re looking for a like-minded Artworker who is set up for the challenge and genuinely interested in the experience of building our practice and with the support of their team, driving their client accounts and projects. Joining the Creative Marketing team at AXON will give team members at all levels opportunities they may not experience in a mainstream healthcare marketing agency – including opportunities to work with practices outside of creative marketing, working on Global/European accounts and internal responsibilities that help shape the direction of our practice. If you’re an ambitious Artworker looking for a new opportunity to push yourself and your career to that next step, we would love to hear from you.
As a Creative Artworker, you’ll play a vital role in turning strong creative ideas into beautifully finished, production-ready outputs. This is a varied role for someone who genuinely enjoys the craft of artworking; from typographic finesse in print through to confident execution across digital formats and light motion work.
You’ll thrive in this role if you’re detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and take pride in delivering work properly, every time.
Working closely with designers, creatives, account teams and production leads, you’ll help bring creative ideas over the finish line by ensuring all deliverables are technically accurate, visually polished, and aligned with brand and compliance standards.
Candidates must demonstrate excellent artwork production skills across print and digital channels, strong attention to detail, and confidence working across a range of formats and platforms.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Accountability:
- Produce high-quality artwork across a wide range of formats including digital assets, interactive touchscreens, sales aids, brochures, banners, presentations, and print materials

- Maintain excellent file management practices and workflow organisation
- Demonstrate strong typographic knowledge, including hierarchy, spacing, punctuation, and layout precision
- Apply expert knowledge of Adobe InDesign, with solid working knowledge of Illustrator and Photoshop
- Ensure all work is thoroughly quality checked before release
Client Services:
- Build effective working relationships with Creative Marketing colleagues, external suppliers, and AXON stakeholders
- Collaborate constructively with designers, creatives, writers, account teams, and production leads
- Attend and proactively contribute to briefing sessions and internal discussions
- Escalate issues or challenges in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain awareness of innovations within and outside the healthcare communications industry and contribute ideas where relevant
Project Management:
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Work to project timelines while contributing to productive and profitable working practices
- Support project teams with delivery expectations, timelines, and workflow coordination
- Accurately complete time recording in Maconomy using the appropriate job codes and descriptions
- Maintain a strong understanding of print production processes and digital best practices
Team & Culture:
- Contribute positively to a collaborative, supportive, and creative team culture
- Demonstrate curiosity and enthusiasm for creative craft, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Maintain a proactive approach to learning and development
- Work calmly and effectively under pressure while maintaining high standards of accuracy and attention to detail
