The Role
The Senior Vice President of Software Engineering (B2C) will lead AXS’ global software engineering organization, overseeing the strategy, development, and operation of the platforms and products that power event hosting partners worldwide, including our core ticketing engine.
This suite is the foundation of AXS’ offerings, encompassing eCommerce workflows, event creation and management, analytics and reporting, intuitive user interfaces, and the underlying systems that bring these capabilities to life.
This leader will define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our B2B and ticketing platforms, ensuring alignment with company goals and a relentless focus on customer value. They will drive organizational excellence, strengthening execution to deliver high-quality products and infrastructure at scale.
Success in this role requires exceptional collaboration with the C-suite, cross-functional leaders, and client-facing teams, as well as the ability to inspire, grow, and scale world-class engineering talent. As a visible and influential leader, the SVP will foster innovation and technical excellence, ensuring AXS continues to deliver best-in-class software solutions to our partners and their customers.
Responsibilities
- Partner with C-Level executives as a key operational leader, driving innovation and advancing AXS’ engineering strategy.
- Define the engineering roadmap, balancing long-term vision with near-term priorities across product development, infrastructure, security, and compliance.
- Oversee engineering execution to ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable software products that meet productivity, growth, financial, and roadmap objectives.
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of end-to-end engineering processes, with clear KPIs to measure and drive excellence.
- Build and empower high-performing global teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Collaborate with Product, Ticketing Strategy, Sales, Operations, AEG, and other partners to ensure strong outcomes and alignment.
- Drive operational effectiveness through best practices, disciplined execution, and process improvements that increase productivity and reduce inefficiencies.
- Translate business goals into actionable engineering initiatives, ensuring technical direction is aligned with organizational priorities.
- Provide clear communication and progress updates to the CTO and senior leadership.
- Manage operating budgets and resources effectively, ensuring financial accountability and sustainable growth.
Skills & Experience
- Proven Leadership: 16+ years in high-growth technology environments, including 12+ years leading large-scale software engineering organizations with a focus on operational excellence.
- Strategic Execution: Demonstrated success delivering technology roadmaps, scaling engineering functions, and leading multiple complex projects from concept to deployment.
- Technical Depth: Strong foundation in software development and architecture, with expertise across modern frameworks (.NET, React, Node, Swift, Kotlin) and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
- Data & Systems Expertise: Experience building scalable data architectures and high-volume, real-time systems; familiarity with tools such as SageMaker, Lambda, Glue, and S3.
- Operational Excellence: Deep knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) with a track record of optimizing engineering processes, KPIs, and delivery outcomes.
- Global Team Leadership: Proven success leading distributed, diverse teams across geographies and time zones.
- Business & Communication: Skilled at translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders, collaborating across functions, and managing vendors/partners.
- Decision-Making & Problem-Solving: Strong ability to assess risks, resolve complex challenges, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Culture Builder: Known for inspiring teams, mentoring leaders, and cultivating high-performance cultures rooted in collaboration, innovation, and purpose.
Pay Scale: $299,200.00 - $448,800
Bonus: This position is eligible for an executive level bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
